For those not on the Churches Facebook, We had a cracking day 1, Winning by one run.

Ash won the toss and batted on what looked a fairly flat deck. We started 'OK' with Hodo (25) and Dutchy (11) getting us to 40 off 11 overs before losing our first wicket. Steve Neal (26) come in at 3 and looked very good. We then lost 6/32 to take us to 7/72 and seriously looking down the barrel. Ash (6), Smithy (1) and Tyson all fell cheaply. Cuz looked good early for about a dozen??? But It was Hauser (41*) and Uren (25) who put together a 50-60 run stand to allow us to post 171.

At Innings break we thought we were probably 30-40 under par, But also had faith in our bowling group and the didn't let us down. Pidge and Uren opened really well. It's so important to bowl in partnerships and they surely did that having Qld 1/5 after 5. Tyson and Nitta both bowled first change and continued to apply the pressure. Bedge bowled a good spell picking up a couple, With Hauser bowling a couple of overs late. Pidge and Uren finished with 3 each, Bedge 2, Nitta 1 and a run out.

All in all the best I've seen us bowl and field as unit. To defend that total on a pretty flat deck was outstanding.

Westerns tomorrow already looking forward to it.

Day 2 wrap up. SA v Westerns

Out were- Nitta, Bedge, Hodo and Cuz
In- Sarge, Fin, Gully and Wrighty.

SA won the toss and batted on the same deck as yesterday. Dutchy and Fin opened got to 20 when Dutchy received a howler LBW call leaving the home side with plenty to do, Which Steve Neal (61) and Fin (67) delivered in spades with 110 run partnership. Old Man Couger came in at 4 and hit a very solid 56*. Smith came and went for a globe at 5, Hauser went cheaply at 6 as we were in a bit of a batting collapse. Uren was elevated to 7 to pick the run rate up and hit a quick fire 20, Sarge also got promoted and had some late order fun. Ended up posting 6/242

Westerns in reply 8/176.

It was the most lack luster chase I've ever seen! At no stage did the muppets have a crack at winning. F**k me wouldn't you rather be rolled for 190 having a crack at winning the game? Pidge and Trav opened well, Although Westerns got to 40odd with out loss. Sarge and Wrighty bowled very tight for a great bowling partnership. Gully came on with immediate success and bowled well as did Tyson. Dutchy got the last 2 overs from one end and Ash bowled the last.

Gully got a couple, Tyson a couple, Singles to Pidge, Dutchy, Ash and Wrighy.

On to NSW tomorrow.

To all those who have given a thought to coming along... DO IT!

There's great cricket being played, and it doesn't cost a cent. The SAC&CCA boys certainly aren't spuds, and are a very good chance of winning the tournament.

Day 3 wrap up SA v NSW.

Out- Uren, Hauser, Pidge and Neal
In- Bedge, Cuz, Nitta and Hodo

As stated above the game was moved from park 25 to Enfield's home deck as the turf pitches got a nice soaking this morning. SA lost the toss and NSW elected to bat. In a pretty boring subdued first innings NSW got to 9/145 off 50 overs!

Nitta bowled an outstanding spell first up 8 overs 1/4 ended up with figures of 1/19, Sarge ended up with 3/43 one bloke to a liking to him but after that he bowled well, Bedge bowled very well to end the day with 3/26. Gully worked hard in to the wind and picked up a wicket and the only other bowler was Wrighty who couldn't quite find that line and the length as he has done this week.

NSW opening Bowlers started fairly tightly, But once Dutchy (30 odd) and Fin (70 odd not out) settled in we didn't look like losing a wicket, But we did exactly that on about 70 When Dutchy went LBW. Smithy came in at 3 and looked very good right from the first ball and finished with 40odd not out.

Long story short it was an easy 9 wicket win off about 35-36 overs I think.
(Our batting details are all around the mark I don't know exact figures)

Semi Final Wrap up.

Very easy win to SA! Into the final tomorrow.

SA won the toss and elected to bowl! NSW were bowled out for 168. One bloke slapped 40 in late to get them to that total. Wrighty was awesome with 3/48 off nearly 20 overs, Pidge was good early with 2 fa as was Uren who also got 2 and Tyson picked up 2 as well.

The run chase started poorly with Fin gone in the second over. Dutchy and Steve tried to steady the ship but Dutchy fell in the 12th over. From there Steve and Ash finished it off both with 60 odd not out.

Grand final tomorrow. You beauty!

I'm literally still in bed from NYE. Fair to say we enjoyed the night. The last people I remember being with me were Bedge and Finn. Massive night, Still paying for it now. I got home 11.30am New Year's Day, Fair to say it wasn't to a great reception.

Didn't even do the final wrap up, Mmmm we batted made 228 they batted and didn't get enough. The end

Carton of West End, Superdry, Coronas, 4 bottles of Passion pop, Dry docks, Carlsberg, Scotch, Southern comfort and Cider all filled the 2 enemy's after the win to celebrate.
