Probably because he still has another 2 years of under 19's left I think.

Both Johnson and Drew are too old for 19's so this is the next squad they put them in.

Ah of course, I forgot he played 17's this year because he also played 19's!

Hmmmm

Didn't a few players from the program make it onto the senior list this year? That's a starting point at least. Whilst performances were average again last year at least there seems to be a few more South Aussies coming through.

Fantastic that those guys get a shot. Sure beats getting average cricketers from interstate like we've done repeatedly in the past.

On a positive note for the Redbacks at least they have never been as bad as Leciestershire who have just won their first match since 2012 or 992 days

http://www.espncricinfo.com/county-cricket-2015/content/story/883907.html

The win had plenty of Aussies on the team with Mark Cosgrove skipper, Clint McKay opening the bowling and the brother of Sam Robson (Aussie born opener for England for 7 Tests last summer), Angus and Andrew McDonald coaching......

Interested to see the influence Schwerdt has on the playing groups fitness and how that impacts performance.

Hopefully this is the year Head finally goes on to hit some big scores as well!
