Round 3 - Bubble Boys

Any blitzing rookies you didn't originally include? Time to use a couple of trades.

I left out Hogan. But with Lambert on the LTI, that's an easy trade to make for me.

What about those with G.Ablett? Are you going to burn a trade and get in a cheaper premium who is going to go up in price and avoid Gazza's $$ decline??

I am considering it since I know everyone will have him in about 6-7 weeks when he is fully fit for almost $200k less than what he is now!

I have Gaz. Big mistake and it's going to cost me trades. Ffye is the obvious replacement. For everyone who will be 'trading him in about 6-7 weeks' they are making the assumption that Gaz will be fully fit by then. I reckon he is miles off it. He's turned into an outside mid who doesn't tackle. Still got great awareness and a fantastic shot at goal but he isn't getting the contested footy or laying tackles. Pretty hard to get the footy when one arm doesn't work and the other arm is holding the busted shoulder. Ablett with no goals is 75, Ablett with three is under 120. For 750k it's an easy trade to make. Whether he gets traded back in will be determined by his ability to win contested footy and lay tackles. It's Ablett's contested footy that makes him the SuperCoach King and right now Ffye wears the crown so he'll be in for the REBCats this week.

Oxley looks to be worth a look after he tonned up last week and looks the better bet than 'rookie' nathan brown. If you haven't already got Saad, McIntosh, Heeney, Hogan, Ellis Yolman and Clark you should give yourself an uppercut. A lot of people wil be burnt by Lambert but for those who didn't go that way he's an excellent downgrade option later on in the season.

I have Cockatoo but already Gregson and Lang look like they belong out there more than the gifted Cat. Cockatoo will be a fine player but won't lay tackles the way Gregson does and he doesn't get the same amount of kicks that Lang does. Anderson looks good but JS is an issue but his breakeven is low so he stays. Cockatoo's breakeven is 58 and according to Footywire the probability of him getting that is eight percent. Having said that, he won't lose all that much money but he doesn't look like a good Cow or scorer this season.

Brett Goodes is on borrowed time after an ordinary round one score and then copping the vest last week. Tempted to trade him out for Oxley so he can sit the bench and earn me some coin.

The only comfort I have here is that if I didn't go Ablett orginally, I would have gone Rockliff.

I seemed to have all the decent rookies that killed it in the first few weeks, jumled off lambert when he wast named round 1 which helped too. No GAJ or Rocky for me either... i took a few risks with mid tier players that may pay off later, we'll see.

Rookie wise i have the Blues with Cripps and Clem Smith... not sure about smith, i might trade him out, move The Bont to the mids and bring in Hogan... because i don't see many other mids kicking the door down that i dont already have... ultimately Bont would be better as a forward but that might have to wait till later, Hogan is set for a decent rise for now so i might just jump on him.
My bulldogs are relatively settled for now apart from that... who do you have as a third ruck though?
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do
