Port Adelaide has bolstered its leg speed for the match against Glenelg at Alberton Oval on Sunday.

Defender Cam O’Shea returns to the back pocket while SANFL-contracted Ben Sawford, Jack Haarsma and Zac Hawkins have also been named on the extended interchange bench. Bigman Jonathon Ross has been listed at centre-half back.
Midfielder Sam Gray, backman Tom Clurey and utility Paul Stewart have been called up for AFL duty while John Butcher (knee), Brendon Ah Chee (knee) and Logan Austin (groin) couldn’t be considered due to injury.

GLENELG
Glenelg coach Matt Lokan has swung the axe in preparation for the club’s contest against Port at Alberton on Sunday.
With his side coming off a 112-point loss to West in Round 7, Lokan reacted at the selection table by sending Josh Trembath, Billy Hayes, Hayden Jolly and Ben Nason back to the Reserves.
Key defender Aisea Raikiwasa will miss around six weeks with a broken cheekbone suffered in the clash against the Bloods.
‘’He had to wait a week for the swelling to go down,’’ Glenelg football manager Paul Sandercock said of Raikiwasa.
‘’We certainly haven’t had a lot of luck with our long-term injuries this year.’’
The Bays have been boosted by the return of former St Kilda playmaker Terry Milera, who has overcome a hamstring strain, while veteran Clint Alleway will play his 150th SANFL match.
Inexperienced Brad Merrett, Tim McIntyre and Josh Woodall come into the 23-man squad as does utility Chris Curran and former Bloods bigman Tom Carter (197cm and 100kg) who could play his first league match for the Bays.

At quarter time it was "Port by how many?"

Then we stopped and assumed the rest of the game was just magically going to go the same way without putting in any effort
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

A game of almost two halves (one qtr and 95% vs two qtrs and 5%)

START to Q2 26m
Score - Port 10.4, Glenelg 2.3 (diff +49 points)
Disposals - Port 154, Glenelg 104 (diff +50)
H/B Rec - Port 47, Glenelg 27 (diff +20)
Inside 50s - Port 27, Glenelg 13 (diff +14)
Frees - Port 11, Glenelg 8 (diff +3)

Q2 27m to FULL TIME
Score - Port 3.1, Glenelg 9.6 (diff +41 points)
Disposals - Port 110, Glenelg 184 (diff +74)
H/B Rec - Port 28, Glenelg 65 (diff +37)
Inside 50s - Port 17, Glenelg 26 (diff +9)
Frees - Port 4, Glenelg 14 (diff +14)

Port just that little bit too good in the first passage.

Only the second Glenelg game I've missed this year, the other being the home game against the Crows. Was with other Glenelg people though and given the start we were not regularly checking the scores, until one of us did mid last quarter and suddenly we were all very interested! As much as I am over respectable losses, after the debacle that was the West Adelaide game to see that the boys fought it out rather than capitulated and almost pinched it is encouraging.

One of Glenelg or North to break their losing streak next weekend, looking forward to being there!
No Surrender!
