We were abysmal full credit to the Eagles they were far too good
and deserved their win anyone who thinks they may slide are kidding themselves.
Wundke gets bagged about his size from others but he is easily the best kick for goal in the competition
from any spot.

On that performance we might be very over rated and havent improved on last season.

Dont panic, they will be played back into form in a few days time ;)

A decent amount of effort that was missing today will be needed or we'll be rooted again Locky.

Nah it wont

The Battle for the Alan Obst Cup will be a close fought but very low standard then Mr. Wedgie. Football shan't be the winner.

I was a believer in the dogs going forward this season. That was insipid. The eagles midfield totally dominated. Dogs be lucky to sneak into the 5

Pleasantly surprised by the Eagles' performance today. Our intensity around the ball was excellent and our style of play and ball movement was instinctive, pro-active and entertaining to watch. Jack Hayes is a find and Nick Hayes was excellent. A complete team effort with perhaps Hall the main disappointment. Wundke and Lewis, both written off at the end of last season, obviously have a point to prove and played very well today

My understanding Wundke has lost 9 or 10 kilos
I was there not 100 percent sure what happened to centrals
Second term Centrals correct me if I'm wrong 8 points from the goal square
Centrals were Wundke sensititive three players on him third term ball was more in Centrals forward line
I noticed Wundke was rested and Bomber was rested
Think it got to a 7 or 8 point eagle lead
Last term Centrals went missing
And unlike Butcher , Wundke kicked more goals than points .
Let's not forget the Hayes boys for the Eagles

How do you know what the rest of the year is going to dish up, for the Dogs and the comp?

It's Round 1, mate.

Yeah, the Dogs were crap today, but so were Glenelg through the trial games and look what they did last night.

I waited all summer for THAT? WTF!

Why do we persist with this AFL Bull5h1t, lets kick back to the goal square now to the side back across goal oops turnover, GOAL. ](*,)
Everyone in one corner of the oval? Everyone run up to one end of the ground now everyone all the way back again. We get the ball; no one ahead of centre. Grrrrrrr!

Only laugh I had all day was seeing the Eagles have sponsors on their butt cheeks? WTF?

Sponsor must feel very honoured to be awarded that spot on the shorts.

Guess when you win at Elizabeth you can wear your sponsors wherever you wish
Beats having Butcher on channel 7 news basically channel 7 saying he is the reason centrals will win .
Let's be realistic
Centrals seconds should have won at one stage 12 shots on goal to three
Centrals league team should have won 8 shots ( if I counted right ) in the goal square missed goals
Eagles won
Eagles can and will get better
Lots of Eagles seconds and juniors played yesterday
It was round 1
17 more to go
Eagles are my team I had doubts but they improved during the day and won

A couple of things MickyJ i wouldnt listen to what Channel 7 say
Secondly your reserves have been fantastic for a number of seasons
we had a heap of kids playing mostly because of injury and our reserves
have been ordinary for a while

The thing you must remember or you may not know majority of Eagles seconds players or fringe league players left end of 2016
Plus our older players ie Jarrad ect retired
Eagles played one ruckman in the league
Our recruited ruckman said s getting there in the seconds
Giles injured most of last year was in the seconds

We had a heap of kids playing as well
We had players coming back from major injuries like Minnie in the seconds

And if any one shouldn't listen to the media hype
It's the centrals football team
And it's Butcher clearly he was glowing from that

End result you lost
Eagles won their second win in 10 years at Elizabeth
How the hell the Eagles won I'm not certain
Major reason centrals Crap shooting for goals
Look at the second term how do you not kick 8 goals from 8 shots around the goal square and you recruited an afl full forward
But that goal kicking is in both levels at Elizabeth 12 scoring shots to 3 centrals should have won that game as well

And I'm not Shoving it up centrals
Eagles have major improvents to build on

It's round 1 both teams can and will improve

MickyJ i read all your posts and respect everything you post
You are right we LOST to a much better team who worked harder
ran harder and thoroughly deserved the win.A lot has been made of Butch
coming to us but we hope to get more with better delivery into him.
You guys were very keen to get him so would you have a crack at him if was with you
i think not.

Good question
Yes I would have you and I guess my team would pay Butcher too much money
Let's face it we got taken to cleaners last year by the runner up of the medal signs for two years but goes home
Let's not forget your returning ruckman we chased him
But we got West think we will be better off later in the year

Honestly I've stood up for Wundke all the losing teams fans and online complaining of his size
Where are those teams fans now he is thinner

So what did Butcher kick yesterday
What did Wundke kick yesterday

And are you happy with Templeton? Left you came to the Eagles left us went back to you has he done anything yesterday nope

Again if Butch had the delivery he shouldve got he may have kicked more
and yes Wundke kicked 5 and is the best kick for goal in the competition
it gets monotonous when people bag him about his size most of it is envy
at having such a good goalkicker playing against them.Good Luck for the season
MickyJ and hopefully we can put up more of a contest when me meet in Round 18.

As I was saying I wasn't having ago at centrals
We will differ on that delivery
Butcher has issues last term wanted to start fights in front of me on the wing
Actually he wasn't alone
Just think you guys hit out youngsters didn't stop them
But when Boyd got hit I think he woke up played better
Look it's round 1 you will improve
I swear I thought you'd kill us yesterday
Round 18 bring it on
You could be last Eagles could be second to last
Both teams will still give us a good game
Could be worse we could be Port fans lol
