South need to buck recent history, having lost the past 7 against the Legs. Only once in that streak of losses have they kicked more than 8 goals.

Boyd missing obviously helps.

Norwood are saying much less than this:
"The injury was sustained during the Round 2 loss to Glenelg, which was initially thought to be a bruise, but later scans this week showed a break. The Magarey Medallist is expected to miss at least two to three weeks."

HT

NWD 3.7
SA 3.7

Pretty ordinary standard. South insistent on kicking it to Francis and the other tall defenders.

I hope Boyd isn't out for 12 weeks. As an opposition supporter, I still like watching him play. His absence from the state team was noticeable. While Doyle held his own, I wonder if Boyd's presence might have got the croweaters over the line.

Anyhoo this is tangential to the thread. Looks like scores are equal at the Parade, deep into time on in the second...

Good to chalk up a win but down sides, goalless last quarter and would have to play better to win against other more competitive teams.
