I would be totally opposed to an import rule. Let clubs sink or swim by their own decisions.
If a junior footballer is any good he will make it anyway. I don't want players playing who arn't ready just for the sake of playing juniors.
And the very good ones will leave the SANFL to play in the AFL, the void that they leave also needs to be filled.
You're right Wedgie, Edwards will be a star, but he will be lost to the SANFL before too long, he has too much talent for the AFL scouts to miss, all we can hope for is the Crows or Power pick him up, so we can still see him at North during his development.
