I think they are helping to fix the scoreboard thats about to collapse if there is a strong wind.
My opinion is they should leave Adelaide oval alone unless...maybe....they upgrade the member's stands.

I seem to recall the SACA asking for a loan to help with upgrades to the members stand so they could attract big events and the Government saying "no we dont do that!"

the state government has NEVER contributed a cent for any development costs for any stand at Adelaide oval including the current members stands that have relied on members funds.

Thats my point! How can they give money to an upgrade at Footy Park and not the oval?

Probably because 12+ games at football park are sellouts and 1 game is at Adelaide Oval?
Some of you have a strange definition of White Elephant.

Either that or ask an approachable polly and you'll get the full story.
Personally I hope the Govt never put a cent into Adelaide Oval.
Plus a main criteria is the state needs:
a) a modern stadium that can seat plenty of people and has half decent facilities
b) a modern rectangle ground
for hosting major events.
Adelaide Oval's gone backwards in the last 40 years and it would be an embarassment to this state to even suggest having a major event there.
