Which is why port sign a cheque to the sanfl to make up the difference from what the sanfl want to make from afl match days. Im not sure how the 80% figure can be debated. In fact considering port have to give the sanfl a cheque after each day, you coul argue that the sanfl take 100% of the revenue from port home games.

And if Beenreal had said that I might have agreed, instead he made the claim the SANFL took 80% of all PAFC revenue. And i'm the one out of my depth? Laughable.

On Beenreals's claim I hope the SANFL have generated and sent to Alberton a $3.6M invoice for the Renault sponsorship. :D

What claim would pafc have on car parking at west lakes ??

So we take 80% of game day revenue at an oval we own built and paid for and a large % of our members utilise on afl game day??

Please refer to my signature macca.

Why were 2 afl clubs in sa invented by sanfl ??? Revenue maybe

Try convincing an AFL fan of that fact, short memories they have.

"They're leeching from us!!!" Jeez, I dunno, why else would you have an investment? To make money from it?

I think I'll go out, buy an investment property and just give it to the tenants. Seems legit.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Exactly, when people play the "port have never given a dividend back to the SANFL" card, you can ignore everything else they say as they have proven they have no idea

Hopefully Port sold a few beers and parmies today, the SANFL could do with 80% of those dollars.

Quite obvious Port Magpies are being used as a "One Club" Reserves team, a completely unnecessary knee jerk reaction from the team selection in the first trial game of the year FFS!

A quote from the article -

"I was asked by Daniel Healy would I guarantee Ben a game all year and I said `I don't guarantee any player a game'. And he said `well, we can'," Collins said.

then mentioned with Hinkley on 5AA tonight and he said "Westies wouldnt play him where we wanted so now he is at the Magpies and we can play him where we want"

How about letting the lad play at West and win his own way into the midfield? and if unhappy transfer him later in the year?

The whole thing stinks and is exactly why we dont want reserves teams in our comp.

A question for the Magpie fans though, how do you feel that there will be guys getting games in your league team that dont deserve their selection and/or are played out of postion that is best for their team to succeed?

AFL reserves teams by stealth
