The in-form Andrew Ainger faces his former club for the first time as well, which will be interesting...

must have plenty of money down at oval ave. Ainger 50k and pretty sure Pazz would have worked you over for a few more bob to stay the extra year,(he did that to us several times too, and probably Port as well)- he's probably on similar coin. Doesnt leave much for the rest of the playing group does it?
Carey, well if hes playing league you must have an injury list as long as the Port Rd.

Ainger and Carey cost the Eagles 92K in total for the year (includes 15K in transfers), thus 77K for the pair (they came as a package). We got to see the offer which we would not match/better.

Importantly it also allows Grocke to get his body right instead of playing him out of desperation. Better than paying someone who doesn't perform - and we've had a few of those over the last few years.

Anything that was paid for Parry was worth it. His performances have been high quality since he's been here, including on the biggest stage.

South have let a few quality players go. I hope the South supporters enjoy reading their financial statements over the off-season, while other clubs with South recruits watch Grand Final DVD's.

I think you will find the problem with Ainger is the club (South) supported his move from Canberra in 2011. Set him with a absolute "plum" job with the SANFL, got him a home etc....etc....

He did his ankle in 2012 and South supported him 100 % for the season.

Then he shopped around behind the clubs back and went to all clubs "whoring himself" around.

Eagles paid top dollar and he would not go without his little mate (Carey).

Poor IMO.
