still seems overs for beams imo.

Will be Brisbane's highest paid player and you reckon they're getting the bad deal... Okay buddy

still doesnt mean he is worth pick 5 and the number 7 draft pick who seems to be on course to be as good as beams

reckon pick 5 and a best 22 non superstar seems about right

so you would take 5 + "a nobody" for Dangerfield?

Exactly.
Collingwood should tell them to **** off

beams is not dangerfield. beams is good but he doesnt win games off his own boot (the way danger or pendles do for instance)

My point is you don't chase an established contracted player, offer him a multi-million dollar contract and then not be prepared to give something up for it.

Wathced just bout every game on free to air, except for the ones on saturday arvo's...

Sloane and Thompson better then Danger this year...

Only thing Danger won this year was an academy award for rolling on the ground looking for the camera and acting hurt.

i actually think the player ratings on the AFL website give a pretty good indication of how good someone is. they do underrate defenders as most ratings systems do, but it looks ok at the top

http://www.afl.com.au/afl/stats/player- ... standings#

dangerfield at 4, beams at 104.

dont get me wrong, i think beams is a great footballer, and has the potential to be one of the best in the afl, but he is well behind pendles as the best mid in the club, let alone his standing in the comp.

i think pick 5 and a player is about right, just i dont think he is worth two top 5 picks - aish, if he was in the draft this year, would probably go top 3 at least.

of course, but you also dont expect to get paid massively when a player wants out - it is clear that the culture at the pies stinks and this is part of the reason he has left.

Are those guys in the top 3 in the AFL ratings? If not, you're saying those guys were not better.

The only blokes this year who can say they won games off their own boots from the top of my head are Franklin and Ablett..

Danger wasn't that influential IMHO in fact i feel he was sometimes the problem, not the solution.

You don't watch much footy, do you benny. Beams led a number of key stats for the Pies this year, and is not as far behind Pendles as you put it. Won a Copeland at 22, Pendles played that year too ya know.

You don't give up an established gun without getting close to equal in return. A first year player with great potential and a pick that could be something or nithing is about right.

Shows how much you don't know. Yes, he wants out. Doesn't like the Leading Teams model being implemented and was certainly unhappy when his best mate Heater got the boot.

Id even go as far to say that Danger is as over-rated as Tippett was.

Must be something about Adelaide having to pump one of their players up to be one of the best.
