i actually think the player ratings on the AFL website give a pretty good indication of how good someone is. they do underrate defenders as most ratings systems do, but it looks ok at the top

dont get me wrong, i think beams is a great footballer, and has the potential to be one of the best in the afl, but he is well behind pendles as the best mid in the club, let alone his standing in the comp.
i think pick 5 and a player is about right, just i dont think he is worth two top 5 picks - aish, if he was in the draft this year, would probably go top 3 at least.

of course, but you also dont expect to get paid massively when a player wants out - it is clear that the culture at the pies stinks and this is part of the reason he has left.

Only thing Danger won this year was an academy award for rolling on the ground looking for the camera and acting hurt.
never said those guys werent better, just that danger won games off his own boot. which is true.
