Two Wells (A) vs Craigmore (C) @ Two Wells - Two Wells should win, but if Galway makes runs and Walker takes wickets, Craigmore could upset.

Craigmore are more than a 2 player team, this was proved last weekend when Galway didnt make many runs and Walker didnt take many wickets. It will take a team effort to knock off Two Wells A Grade.

Point taken... was only going by season stats really. Only two names in that team I recognise from my playing days anyway. Cricket is a team game, but individuals can play a big role on any given day. Am surprised a rersult was even reached. Looks the only game that got play on 2nd play.

Yes if they are noit good enough to also get out the no 10 and no 11 and get punished for it perhaps they dont deserve to win. HAve to play a whole innings not jsut a part innings. Many teams have lost in the past with lower order partnerships making the difference. Have won and lost games with this type of situation.

Play started late in the day and took 25 overs to knock them over in just over an hour, we took 2 wickets in the first over of the day. They lost 7/33 I think to finish on 73. Ground held up well. Two Wells were in no hurry to get out and play which is understandable but Craigmore were very keen and knew if we got a couple of early wickets we could win.

Taken from the Barossa forum -

does t.lee suffer from small man syndrome? quite an appalling display of sportsmanship from 4 of your 2nd eleven today that wouldnt turn up for the shield and medal presentations. sour grapes, we were the best team all year and still very confident of a win 2day. we only lost one game all year and u boys didnt get close to us so take it on the chin and get over it.

Some things never change....

are you kidding me!!! mate if you only knew timmy he is one of the best blokes going around, yes he gets very worked up over his cricket and has the white line fever like many of us do. this weekends game was possibly going to be his last ever game and to have it robbed from him by circumstances you wouldnt know was hard for him to swallow. i know he had a run in with your boys previously but get to know him off field before you make statements like the above

Would the kind of person he is off the field make any difference to the way he goes about his cricket? I am happy to take your word that he is a good bloke off the field - I'm not questioning that - but its his onfield behaviour that once again gets mentioned. I am sorry you disagree but I stand by it.

thats fair enough i guess
interesting note from that game was the association president playing for Angaston in the A2 grand final. Angaston all out 108 with sandy creek 4/59 overnight, that game never saw a ball bowled while the A1 and A1 Res all got play underway. Hmmmm sounds fishy, that could be why he left in such disgust and obviously days knows the president of the association on a very personal level

DIV 5 salisbury north vs virginia virginia won the toss and elected 2 bat and batted extremely well 2 make 348 whilst another div 5 club (NO NAMES INC) continued 2 frustrate both umpires and the fielding side with constant abuse which was way over the top!! salisbury north had 2 bat for 11 overs and were 1/27 overnight until the constant rain on sunday allowed no play and salisbury north were announced premiers around 4 oclock!! noone likes 2 win premierships like that but their the rules we play under and every1 knows from the start of the season the process so its no reason 2 winge when it rains!!

just a thought for the wizard of oz , surely salisbury west considered having joint premiers as the game was a draw as i believe in the past that a similar situation resulted in an extraordinary meeting of pdca officials to see the rules amended so as to ensure a joint premiership, im sorry but with R&C's stellar day one performance it would have been good to see sw do the right thing and offer to share the spoils with R&C who were forced to in ridiculous circumstances previously , just a thought

fishy? mmm or perhaps could it have been that tanunda had more rain than nuri and stockwell. and on top of that the umpires were unsure if play could be extended after 5 30 and i told them that there is provision for an extra hour.
lets not forget that the umpires are in control of all the games and there is going to be differences of opinion forever and a day.

we also wanted to get out there, we were very confident of bowling u guys out with the 4 batsman that had made runs for you all year already back in the shed. maybe they shouldnt have shut up shop saty night when they made 4/23 off the last 16 overs. mind u it was against some quality bowling ;)

So the premiership was not joint this season ? Serious question as I dont know. I was under the impression that both sides went top. Has it been changed back to the higher placed side wins ?

Well maybe South Australia should offer Western Australia the 1995/96 Sheffield Shield too ?
