SS - Goldsmith is playing with Mallee Park FC and has made a big impression playing at CHB (although not as big an impression as the scribe for the local paper would have it - hardly in the eyes of the AFL) Neverthless ur right he can play
Tommy George is playing for Waybacks and is also one of the stars of the local comp and has been for several years now. Casual at times but when he gets going look out. Frequently kicks an almighty long bomb and is one of those naturally gifted sportsmen.
Both would have plently years footy left in them

SS - which league you from ?

MJ and any other Tassies with niggling injuries will not play this week. Wally is getting the side right for the clash with Souths that will probably decide who makes the finals.

Brians words were strong in the PLT today? Thoughts?

jeez Barney looked pretty happy to be in the photo...had the old "lets get this over and done with" eyes.

What I did glean out of Brians' word were a resolve to try and rectify the situation. Hopefully I did not read too much into that.

not as good as we could of hoped mate. We were hoping a few would pull up after training last night, but confirmed outs are Zac Christian and Mark Fraser - which are both pretty big blows. One or Two others will be waiting until saturday morning to see whether they will play!

What about you guys will sam read be playing his first game? Im guessing jay shannon will be playing or will he be getting a run with ports? steve atterton confirmed bad knee injury?

If footy clubs were women,

Sydney would be J-Lo - Quality all over but especially good down back

West Coast would be Kylie Minogue - Very decent despite not having much up front

Fremantle would be Danni minogue - Always trying hard to be as good as her big sister, but will never measure up. The butt of everyone's jokes.

St. Kilda would be Krystal from Big Brother - Has the biggest and best assets going around, be we all know they're not the real deal.

Brisbane would be Elle McPherson - Past her glorious best but still easyon the eye and an old favourite with most.

Port Power would be Madonna - Also past her glorious best, but refuses to accept it gracefully.

Carlton would be Whitney Houston - Has not looked after herself in recent years and has gone completely off the rails.

Adelaide would be Delta Goodrem - Tidy, attractive, professional and uncontroversial. Nice to look at, but for some reason just makes you want to yawn.

Geelong would be Britney Spears - At times she can look stunning, at others it can get ugly.

Essendon would be Katie Holmes - Has a certifiable psycho in charge of her every move. Has lost credibility in recent times.

The Kangaroos would be Paris Hilton - Lays down way too easily.

Richmond would be Annabel Chong - Can cop a pounding and keep coming back for more, all in the name of self improvement.

Western Bulldogs would be Shakira - Proof that being short is no barrier to getting you excited. Will only get better too.

Hawthorn would be Christina Aguilera - Looks like she enjoys it rough and dirty.

Melbourne would be Princess Di - May be a blue blood, but hasn't done anything for a while.

Collingwood would be Amelie Mauresmo - Last women on earth scenario, you still wouldn't.

Tumby struggling also with injuries - No Curtis, Jay Shannon, John Hunt, David Butler, Sam Reid. Tuna likely to miss next 4-6 weeks, plus Jacob Cave copped 1 week for a hip and shoulder. Poor effort from the tribunal after the umpire admitted not really seeing it??? Sam should play his first game in a fortnight after some minor surgery on his thumb. Our midfield looks thin without Butler, Curtis, Hunt & Shannon.

Ferret effectively came off at quarter time - possibly could have gone back on if required. Looks likely to miss just the 1 game to make sure he's fit. Should be another close one as usual, but think you guys might just have a bit too much quality based on the blokes we have out.

Still a few out for Rangers - Acks, Watho, Caulf, Brooks.

Rangers - 60 pts (Tasmans resting players so we will be too strong. Our cohesive team play will be a major factor)

Waybacks - 18 pts (Barry will find it harder this week with Dunc, Gregory and possibly J-CS all ensuring his supply is cut off. A lot of interest in this result but if my belief that Mallees aren't the real deal is correct Waybacks will get up)

Souths - 145 pts (Dazza B loves these games and will be gunning for 10+)
