Bullshit, Ironbank was exactly this in 1986, and although we have not had Div 1 success, the club is in a strong position from where it began as a C grade side and is moving forward.
It all depends on who is in charge.
Yes you are exactly right within three years any "new" club could be back with the likes of the Eagles.
If they screw up with their
administration they can destroy a club.

Clubs survive on volunteers, boundary umps from juniors, line drawers, timekeepers, gatespeople, qualified bar people, cleaners of the change rooms, trainers, video producers, electricians to keep the lights going, older players letting the youth come through and only filling in (when it gets too cold), negotiators that ensure fair conditions for both netball and football on game day, sponsors of the best possible conditions to promote the juniors, sponsors that ensure the community that lives in the area is serviced with an equitable club and remembering, what they were formed to do in the first place.
