Golden Grove v Greenacres (No Kuhndt or Marschall for the Burras, plus more Greenacres conditions)

I think Salisbury will get over the Jets today

And I am :ympray: that we get over the Grovers

Good luck to all teams in finals and I hope there are not any players seriously hurt.

just remember...GET A DRAGON UP YA!!

Unley to account for Salisbury just.
Greenies and GG to smash the s**t out of each other, draw, play extra time and cop a heap of injuries each, with the Pooraka boys on the sidelines cheering all this on.
Only joking Turk, think you will get over the line easy.
Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts....

Salisbury B grade just over the line in last minutes after being down by 4 goals at 3/4 time, Unleys A grade too good, skoblyk was clearly bog especially in first half. Oval was a disgrace and game should've been moved, the result would still be the same anyway.

Paradiso no shot?
I rate Para, but with Adams, Lovell, Coghill, Rankine and others, plus Hosking, M Watts and Pead clearly polling some votes, I think they'll spread them pretty thin across the board.

Skoblyk for me, with S Buss, Nathan, Barrie and J McPherson making up the Top 5.

Great day up at Harpers Pool yesterday...a credit to both teams on the hard disciplined footy they played.

Close all day but GG had the edge at most of the breaks so Greenies had to do it tough

Thanks again to Choccies and the GG committee for their co-operation that allowed us our marquee and esky....

Conditions on the oval could only be described as horrible and I am amazed that when a game is so tight, scores close that the umps pay 34 free kicks and one team gets 11 ..how can this happen in such tough conditions.

The Jets will be hard to beat and should be another belter... I hope that the last couple of weeks on their oval has hurt their legs and they run out of steam against us early.

Yesterday was a great day Turk and you guys sure were vocal! There was certainly a lot of support for the Dragons and a great game to boot.

Drove past Kingswood oval today - don't know what everyone is whinging about - bar the centre square it looked ok.

Did we only get 11 free kicks ?? Wow...

Honestly, the umpiring made no difference to this game. I thought the umpires let it flow quite well and every team are going to say they were hard done by when it comes to the umpires.

A cracking game all day, we were level pegging at quarter time and in the second quarter we rattled a few in a row off to be a couple up at half time. Shannon Goldsmith must have had 10 marks at least by quarter time and he was killing our forwards who gave him too much room. We tagged him out after half time and apart from his last quarter goal that put them within 4 points he was ineffectual after half time. Greenies came out after half time and had the scoring end and looked sharp to close us up. Forth got on the end of some good balls but missed his chances. The last quarter was as hard, tough and desperate as I have seen. No-one deserved to lose as both sides gave it their all and when Greenies hit the front with about 5 minutes to go thanks to a freak goal out of the pack I thought we were done. But after repeated attacks forward we eventually grabbed a late one and the game.

Credit to both sides and both crowds who were loud and proud all day and I'm sure they appreciated the effort put in by all.

For anyone who wasn't there early enough to see it Pooraka took the B grade game easily in the end. They started slowly and Woody South were 4 goals up around quarter time but Pooraka slowly pegged them back. In the end Pooraka's discipline saw them over the line and when a Woody South player marked in the defensive goal square then slapped a Pooraka guy for no reason, the resulting turn over, send off and goal only started the Woody South boys into more undisciplined play. One issue for Pooraka will be number 28 Ty Liston I think who for some reason decided a head butt in front of the umpire when 6 goals up in the last quarter was a good idea and he should get games purely out of stupidity...

Good day in all though.
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Great day yesterday and Umpires were great actually. Brad Webber and Lincoln Smith, regular Division 1 Umpires (or should be at least) umpired well. Certainly much better than the crap you could have seen In Division 3 all Year   No one should whinge about the Umpires from yesterday as very good. Certainly did not look like either Umpire favoured any side and just a good day with a good crowd.

Good day at the Football and well organised by both Clubs and a good set up at Harpers Field.

C'mon turk, do u really think the umps cost you guys ? I thought one ump was against us early and one was for us late but hardly game turning. Was just a great game to witness....

And full credit to the Greenies boys and gurls for coming in to the club afterwards. Fantastic sportsmanship and hopefully both teams can go up and continue the rivalry !!

Now Choccies dont put words in my mouth.. at no stage have I said the umps cost us the game.. I was just amazed that in that sort of game in the type of conditions that any team could get more than twice the number of free kicks...

We burnt the footy you guys didnt.. you converted the opportunuties we didn't...but it was a great game played in the right manner and supported by 2 great clubs and their supporters.

The winner on the day was Div 4 footy...and of course GG you ba#s$ards...our record against you guys in finals continues..allways close but allways the bridesmaids...thank god for beer!!

Please do not even grizzle about the Umpires you got yesterday. After some of the indept and embarrassing displays in Division 3 this year just count your lucky stars with what you got yesterday and believe both Brad Webber and Lincoln Smith were both good.
If any of you thought yesterday was bad, you would have had a riot on your hands if you saw any Div 3 games for the year.
