Paradiso no shot?
Skoblyk for me, with S Buss, Nathan, Barrie and J McPherson making up the Top 5.

Honestly, the umpiring made no difference to this game. I thought the umpires let it flow quite well and every team are going to say they were hard done by when it comes to the umpires.
A cracking game all day, we were level pegging at quarter time and in the second quarter we rattled a few in a row off to be a couple up at half time. Shannon Goldsmith must have had 10 marks at least by quarter time and he was killing our forwards who gave him too much room. We tagged him out after half time and apart from his last quarter goal that put them within 4 points he was ineffectual after half time. Greenies came out after half time and had the scoring end and looked sharp to close us up. Forth got on the end of some good balls but missed his chances. The last quarter was as hard, tough and desperate as I have seen. No-one deserved to lose as both sides gave it their all and when Greenies hit the front with about 5 minutes to go thanks to a freak goal out of the pack I thought we were done. But after repeated attacks forward we eventually grabbed a late one and the game.
Credit to both sides and both crowds who were loud and proud all day and I'm sure they appreciated the effort put in by all.
For anyone who wasn't there early enough to see it Pooraka took the B grade game easily in the end. They started slowly and Woody South were 4 goals up around quarter time but Pooraka slowly pegged them back. In the end Pooraka's discipline saw them over the line and when a Woody South player marked in the defensive goal square then slapped a Pooraka guy for no reason, the resulting turn over, send off and goal only started the Woody South boys into more undisciplined play. One issue for Pooraka will be number 28 Ty Liston I think who for some reason decided a head butt in front of the umpire when 6 goals up in the last quarter was a good idea and he should get games purely out of stupidity...
Good day in all though.

And full credit to the Greenies boys and gurls for coming in to the club afterwards. Fantastic sportsmanship and hopefully both teams can go up and continue the rivalry !!
