Unley Vs Disticts - Should be a cracker. Unley have a younger more fitter side but im not sure what that will mean coming into the finals against a more experienced side like Districts. By the looks Green will more than likely play the C grade. A solid on baller with a bit of pace will need to go with him all day. Just seems to find the footy so easily and gets through traffic in the same. Plus playing in the 2's will help Unley. Unley would need to shut down Districts midfield from the outset. Rocket will need a solid tag. Most of the guys have a good footy brain so Unley will need to be on their toes. Especially their gun forward. Not sure what Districts will be like on the Unley Deck. Big difference to Largs. For me, Districts by 3 goals
Our game Vs Athelstone - Should be just as good. I didnt recognise a lot of their players on Sunday watching their game against Districts. A lot of new faces. They will be very strong on their home deck. They never used a zone type defence (from what ive been told) and since playing us ive been told they are. Their set up of 3, 4, 3, 1, 3 looks impressive. Did stop Districts on a few occasions and were able to push the footy back in without a drama.Their run off half back was just as equal as their defensive pressure inside 50. Beng able to have that one player losse out back helped them well on Sunday. By any means its going to take the strongest side that wants this more and play the looser of the above game. Again that will be played against Unley.

Has this been Greeney posing as someone else all this time?
If these were the thoughts of the opposition teams I would be having a sneaky grin on my face if I was the Jets' C2 coach!

On another note bad luck to see the end of Portland, would love a local derby next week but good to see the end of the uncanny A grade one week C grade the next, game breaker exploitation they had up forward

I said before we were lucky to beat Athelstone last week and we will need to be at our very best this week to get a chance to play against the Jets again, if that happens we will need to find some pace.

LMA, wouldn't you want the game to be played on a saturday? this now means the winning team will only have a 6 day brake with gives unley even more of an advantage. i can understand the first week or two of finals some need to be played on a sunday because the shortage of umpires. Prelim weekend there is only one game from each grade so umpires would not be a problem.

The game yesterday pretty much started how the Qualifying final finished, with a centre circle infringement this time going to Athelstone and after that was a tough arm wrestle. We thought that there was one umpire out there who was ridiculous with his decision making especially in giving 25m penalties, giving blokes penalties for simply asking "who's free is it" or just saying that "he was off" you pretty much couldn't even look at this bloke without penalty.
Anyway bad luck to Athelstone we have had a good contest over the last month, hope you have a good weekend to finish off the year, we now look towards the Jets in the big one this week. Not sure if Div 4 usually have a set ground for the GF but with Unley in the GF in all 3 grades and with them Playing Scotch in the A's I'm tipping either St Mary's or Campbelltown for a 10.15 game this week.
