had a sense late in the 2nd that a couple of plympton forwards may have thought the game was under control, lost a bit of focus and tried to intimidate the pulteney defenders after a couple of goals were kicked.
think plympton may have only kicked 1 pt in the second half. they seemed to have control until half way through the third and then all of a sudden pulteney's game came together. silvy stood up i thought.
either side would have been unlucky to lose. pulteney just gutsed it out and maybe the week off helped given the conditions.
in drier conditions i think pulteney have got the game and discipline to win the big one.

plympton v westminster will be a corker next week.

probably at st marys as plympton cant have a home finals. that might favour westminster as they play a big ground well.

Westminster will have more of a chance this time around IMHO it would be tough for Plymton to back up after today's conditions. Also I think the record of Prelims isn't that flash either

would be worth seeing.
be interesting to know how physical the game between wos and rosies was today.
i think the plympton boys will be sore and very tired after slugging it out on morgan oval.
wos next week i think.

It's a good thig Pultney did win yesterday so we don't have to play at their ground again next week. I'm not exactly sure why they were given a home final when their facilities are ordinary at best.

Surely some sort of checklist must be completed to be eligible for a home final?
Things such as:
ample parking
toilets
hot food
enough water pressure for more than one shower at a time (and that was in the home changerooms)
Clubrooms!!

They did have plenty of temporary shelter which was good and they certainly can't control the weather, but in my opinion, finals footy should be played at football clubs/ovals - not in the parklands, which are purely patches of grass with goal posts at either end

Very dissapointing effort by the Valleys today. Plympton willing to work a lot harder all day. Need to focus now on turning it around next week.

I Agree S Demon, ABSOULUTE DISGRACE. SAAFL must have peanuts for brains....

-There was no hot water in the visitors showers as well.
-Only 2 showers worked.
- Cold pies in the canteen.
-Had to walk 546km to where my car was parked

Was out there yesterday and had a look. Great slug fest of a game in the A's, what an arm wrestle! Pultney good enough in the end and got the win, but there will be some sore bodies this morning!

I believe there will said about the facilities.

Our facilitates may be poor but Plympton should be embarrassed by the behaviour of some of their supporters post match. Talk about sour grapes   .

Also I forgot to mention last night. I hope Jim Smith gets a nice holiday this week from the gutless act he performed behind the play in the 2nd quarter.

congratulations to pulteney and wos..especially to pulteney bouncing straight back up to div 4

cracker game this week to see who gets the other spot in the gf..my tipping in the finals has been shocking..plympton would have the edge this week going on the last game they played against each other but maybe wos can find a few new tricks to upset the bulldogs

jim smith wasn't reported and no way should he be... cause your boys didn't mind dishing it out unfairly and behind the play... EMBARRASSED???? you guys are amazing, so you can give it but you can't take it??? i was hurled abuse for yelling go dogs....also when we were walking off your so called excuse for a ground and into your awesome change rooms your supporters were saying crap to us... if your going to make comments get your facts right and see both sides.....

great win by the 2's.... Fire up next week for WOS in the A's, should be a ripper....

Super effort by WOS in both grades, to be in the last 3 is a fantastic effort by the club. Will have to step up this week if we want a crack and Pultney. Hard slog of a day at Glandore will take some magic from the training staff to get the boys cherry ripe.

fc will be devastated :)

no point bagging the facilities now..it comes off as sour grapes..say something during the year if you have issues with a ground to be used for finals,we have all known pulteney would play in the finals for many months and would of course want home finals, as for the reserves teams who had to play there its just pure bad luck..fwiw, parklands ovals just dont cut it at finals time and shouldnt be used imho

Do you not recall the issue with coaches boxes, lack of stock in the canteen, etc? or has your short/selective memory come back again?
it was also discussed in the last 2 weeks re should they get a final or not

fair enough, would have been a gd result for us - fair chance the game will be at Kenilworth again, dont think the ground really suits either team, i rekon we would prefer to play at Plympton
