Very true Damian. . Similar in the was Wirreanda feeds M/VALE . . Hackham gets the left overs .. . .when your 14 years old you want to play at a successful club.

Hackham was just as successful, if not more, during the 90's than Morphett Vale but it seems most of there players went chasing money and ended up at the Shoe. Hackham never recovered from being pillaged like that.
Kids and Parents will always want the best conditions for them to play in, which ever club provides a good junior program will prosper. Noarlunga who went out and bought players are now, I believe, seeing the benefit of developing good juniors and will be a strong club for years to come because of this.
Having said that too much focus on junior success can leave clubs in a situation like Flaggies in that they always have promising juniors but it doesn't translate later into senior success.

The Bushpigs played in an A grade GF against Plympton in 87. We were the only team to make them earn the flag over the 3 years thay won it. Score 7.9 to 5.15.
Juniors are more important than anyting when it comes to a clubs future.
Flagies will be back, the stint in Div 2 was helping the re build until the League stuffed it up and brought us all into Div 1. Give me a 8 div1 / 6 div2 / final 4 for both and negotiable promotion religation for top and bottom 2

At the time of Hackham's drop from div 1 respectability, a major reason was rumored to be off field drama's.
What ever happened to that ruckman from Hackham, then Noarlunga, refined in martial arts, who kept hitting guys behind play and getting suspended for 12 weeks? I seem to remember hearing after each suspension, he was threatened with life bans by the SFL tribunal, but they never backed up their words.

Reynella are a club well worthy of the Div 1 SFL and they will stay that way.
I hope the Bush Pigs get close to that sort of success U14s are leading the way.

Esteban, you would be talking about big Mal,dont know about hitting guys behind play I would say straight in front of you? Well big Mal no longer plays and until he came to the Shoe I to had an opinion of an idiot but as normally happens when you get to know someone your opinion changes and no more so than Mal,a quite family man and now holds a seniour managment role for an international company.

I say again, Hackam had it and they blew it.
There are many reasons but the bottom line is THEY BLEW IT!

Not blaming evans at all, but they are the facts. From what i hear/know Evans is well liked and brought some good players to the club, I'm not having a go at him, but move one.
Any candidates for the new coach? will Moore stay? My guess butcher will leave? Mensforth?

Hey Flyer, apparently Evans has the gig at Edwardtown for their debut season in the SFL, do you think there is any danger of any/many Reynella players following him? Say Butcher perhaps, didnt Evans bring him to Reynella? Or any of the newer recruits? Moore maybe?
Or perhaps even the keenest Evans fan of them all, FLY? (would Fly then change his login to TOWN?)

We are all wondering if the fly will be changing his login and footy club? or maybe its the man himself - hahaha! either way he definitely has a soft spot for the big man!
From an opinion of an outsider looking in (ie -not an A grade player or official), i would say butcher could leave, and robo, moore will stay . There was talk of pressy leaving, but the club NEEDS him to stay, im sure that was just a rumour anyway! he's good role model for the juniors coming through!
they also need to play ALL their young guns next year as other clubs have (ie, pt noarlunga, brighton, noarlunga) I think M.Vale need to do the same!
