Could RAFA return to manage Liverpool?

He'd like to apparently, but doubt it will happen as he has a history of picking fights with owners.

Paul Konchesky's mum has been busy on facebook defending her sons poor performance and calling Liverpudlians "scouse scum".

Liverpool defender Paul Konchesky has been left red-faced after his mother used Facebook to call Liverpudlians 'Scouse scum'.
Carol Konchesky launched a foul-mouthed defence of her son hours after he had played poorly in Liverpool's 2-0 defeat at Stoke.
Mrs Konchesky wrote: 'To all you Liverpool scouse scum out there, never mind the cockney ****, take a real look at your team. Stop living off the past, the team are ****. If anyone made a mistake, its the cockney ****, who never should have left Fulham.'
The comments were subsequently removed and Mrs Konchesky has closed her Facebook account.
But, not surprisingly, there was outcry among Liverpool fans.
Les Lawson, secretary of the Official Liverpool FC Supporters' Club, said: 'Comments like that are deeply unhelpful and extremely disappointing.
'We Liverpudlians have been called worse in our time but the only person who is going to end up harmed by those comments in the long run is Paul Konchesky.'
The player, who cost £5million in August, has never indicated he has regretted leaving Fulham and recently said he had 'been made to feel really welcome by everyone on Merseyside'.
But he is not currently a popular figure among many Liverpool fans and Mrs Konchesky, who attends Anfield with her grandson, is said to have been shocked by the nature of the criticism he has received.

I keep hoping you've passed on the news that Roy, Poulsen, Lucas and Conchesky are gone and the owners are splashing 100 million quid on replacements :(

Conchesky is a dud, surely that was a known fact before he was even recruited, the best thing he ever did in football was kick an accidental goal for the Hammers in the 06' FA Cup final.

If Roy has a bad xmas period * , you can expect the calls to bringing RAFA back to get even louder.

El-Hadji Diouf has launched a scathing attack on former Liverpool team-mate Jamie Carragher, claiming the Reds defender has "done nothing with his life".

There is little love lost between the pair with Carragher highly critical of Diouf during his two years at Anfield.

Former England international Carragher criticised the Blackburn forward in his autobiography, saying Diouf didn't care about winning or losing.

"In all my years at Anfield, I have never met a player who cared less about winning or losing. His name - along with Salif Diao - still makes even the toughest Liverpudlians shudder with fear," Carragher wrote.

Diouf has now issued his riposte, mocking the talent and personality of Liverpool hero and stalwart Carragher

"If Liverpool had ten players like Carragher then they would never win anything," Diouf is quoted as saying in The S**.

"Carragher, for me, is nothing. He's like a make of ketchup or mustard to a normal person: not important. I played for Liverpool for two years and Carragher never spoke to me. That's life - some people are like that. We didn't have a team at Liverpool. We had the English somewhere and the French boys somewhere. If it's like that - you can do nothing together.

"Carragher is just a guy who loves to talk, but Caragher doesn't sell papers, Carragher doesn't sell shirts."

Jealous
Diouf puts Carragher's attack on him down to jealousy, insisting the former England defender never liked the money or attention that followed Diouf from France and his success at the 2002 World Cup.

When assessing Carragher's evaluation of him as a player, Senegal international Diouf insists he prefers to listen to Pele and Diego Maradona, who both once named him in the world's top 100 players.

"When I played at Liverpool, Carragher could have talked to me then, but he didn't. He was jealous of me - that's why he talked about me. Because when I came to Liverpool, I earned more than him and I was a bigger name than him. I took my country to the World Cup and to the finals of the African Nations Cup.

"So Carragher can't criticise me because, to me, he has done nothing with his life. I'm not going to listen to what Carragher says. I listen to the big men, the greats of football

I couldn't care less about the once over-rated spitter, but whilst I dont care about him I reckon there's some degree of truth to what he's saying.

Don't get me wrong Carra has been a brilliant, passionate Red and I love him, but at the same time I think he's the type that holds us back from entering a new era.

Possibly, but not when Diouff was signed.
he was brilliant during the Houllier era.
Maybe he just spotted an overpaid ordinary individual and ignored him.
I'd say Carra has more mates than El Hadj

Im not denying any of that mate, I guess all Im saying is that whilst his heart would be in the right place, Carra holds us back possibly these days and perhaps prevents us from getting on with the process of developing a new 11 that could one day be title worthy ..Just IMHO and could well be wrong.

I wouldn't know either way regarding Carragher but I do know thar Diouf is a nasty over rated little piece of .... who is perfect for Allardyce and b4st4rd rovers. They all fit together soooo well.

1st goal for Wolves at Anfield for 26 years and 1st points in over 40 years.

Worrying for Liverpool is that they were completely outplayed at home by the bottom side
58% - 42% possession in favour of Wolves
8-2 corners more shots and more shots on target

Liverpool looked devoid of tactics, drive and leadership despite the return of Gerrard.
So where to from here? Hodgson spoke about the January transfer window but that just raises 3 key questions for me
1) will Hodgson still be in charge
2) Will he have any funds to play with
3) will there be anyone available at the right money

Liverpool might well have to right off this season and tough it out until May

Word on the street is that there is a press conference booked for tomorrow at Anfield.
Bookies have got wind of it and have slashed the odds of Hodgson being next to get sacked*, and King Kenny as caretaker is now 5/1 after being 25/1 this time last week.
Might be interesting with Kenny as caretaker whose 1st match in charge will be against his old sparring partner.

Not yet but apparently they are actively looking.
I'd say he'd be lucky to last the FA Cup game.
Nice guy, but not a manager for a club wanting to reach big heights.
Hired by the former owners to "tow the company line", it's a pity but I don't think he was ever going to be long term once the sale of the club happened.

The club have cancelled a pre-arranged press conference to preview Sunday’s FA Cup third-round tie at Manchester United.
Instead a pre recorded preview will be shown on LFC TV..

Writing is on the wall.

Sami Hyypia tipped to be his understudy .. Still think O'Neill would be a great fit for the club, but he does very much rely on decent transfer funds being available and he's pulled a bit of an O'Leary at Villa which always makes one wary.
