A fair swap I reckon if it happens........Aimar is a GUN.
We've been after him for quite a while haven't we?

Goals wise his stats are poor for an attacking midfielder.
In Spain they are raving about his performances for Zaragoza this season though.
I have only seen televised games of him for River Plate and Valencia when he always impressed, but as the stats show he needs to score more goals.
Liverpool need MORE goalscorers other than Torres and Gerrard,,,,, West Ham 1 - L'pool 0....93min penalty

I understand you need to score against the smaller teams to win games but if Liverpool are to become a top 3 side they need a striker who can consistently score against the better teams. To me Torres is a small team bully. Look at tonight for example A.Ferdinand gave him an absolute bath at EVERY contest.
He will great improve though if they can a get another quality striker to make Torres the second striker.

How often have you seen him play?
I can't agree with you on that one ... Liverpool at present are playing a BS style of football that does him no favours!
Sure he was out of touch with his ball control against the Hammers, but he still penetrated the defence a couple of times and when in form, that would have very likely resulted in 2 goals.
Think you'll find it's our lack of other strike options (or Rafa's failure to consistenly play the one who CAN score regularly) that allows Torres to get double teamed that doesn't help him ... Take Man U for example, trying to control Tevez and Rooney, and then having a marauding Ronaldo to top it off is near on impossible, Liverpool have no such luxury at the moment.
They need to replace Kuyt with another world class striker (I'd actually accept a 6 pack for him ... even VB![]()
), change their style, improve their midfield (Alonso out for mine) and shore up their defence ... Plenty of problems there, but I don't put Torres among them.

I wonder if JUVE did an eye test on him ?
Thanks for the 8.2 million though.
This apparently is why the poor bastard can't pass to a team mate and when he shoots for goal it ends up in the corner flag...
