hydration

hey mighty tiger isn't it just as dangerous to drink too much water as too little (im thinking 4 - 6 may be over-hydrating yourself and I've read reports this is no good) im pretty sure the recommended is 2 - 3 per day, of course more for really active peoples, athletes etc... let me know if this is not right.

Mate, I had the same problem going back a couple of years. the job I had then required a business trip every month to the big city (Nagoya) for meetings and stuff. This meant that we had to stay out late, get drunk and eat lots of food, with all the other foreigners that had converged from all over Japan, then get up early for more meetings. Before this became a regular part of each month I was losing weight by swimming. It was constantly 2 step forwards one step back so far as losing weight went, but I enjoy eating a lot, so I go for the pig out and then burn it up philosophy. After about 6 months of those meetings I was missing sessions in the pool and absorbing a lot of food and drink. My weight went from 95 to about 102 kgs in about 6 months. The crunch came when I sat down on my flight to Nagoya one Monday morning, and my ass scaped down the insides of both armrests.
Something needed to be done. On the same day someone suggested I try Atkins.
I followed the diet exactly as it should be done and the kilos peeled off me. At the beginning I couldn't drink any alcohol but later it was allowed, the only thing was I couldn't drink beer, but I was sucking down wine by the bottle in a couple of months. I eventually got down to 90 kilos ( my height is 176 cm) before I made a trip back home to Oz, the temptation of an Australian lasagne was too much for the confines of the Atkins diet. So that was where it ended. But I recommend it to anybody in a weight fix.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail
