Barlow's Bad Break - Brownlow Bets Refunded
We Aussies love the underdog and the scrapper who comes from nothing to make something of themself. Michael Barlow you are one of these Aussies - what a season mate! And what a tragedy you suffered such a horrific injury. Not fair all round. In the Aussie spirit, sportsbet.com.au is refunding all single Brownlow Wagers on Barlow to give punters a fair go.

Wonder what happens now if he somehow wins the Brownlow????

Is a very good gesture especially after they paid out on Richmond winning the spoon when now they probably won't.

Hey at least we don't feel the need to bitch and moan about everything on an internet forum. You need to relax a little champ.

astute punters will tell you what sportsbet did it for. Of you all I would maybe expect only dutchy to understand.
I would love to get a spread sheet of their takings on Barlow to win the medal, you would all be quite surprised.
Typical of why betting agencies do so well, blind and dumb easily sucked in punters

As long as you realise it is a business decision and not a 'gesture of good will'.

They wouldnt be refunding thousands of dollars

Sounds like someone is a bit jealous they didnt get on Barlow at long odds, then lay off or wateva. So many people bag sportsbet but they are one of the best bookies for giving free bets and money back refunds. You say oh it might be a fee $5 bets, but im sure your a person who lays off on stuff so they get there $10 bet back. Should be a little more grateful. They have refunded and given a few hundered thousands of dollars on the world cup. They refund head to head bets on the footy that lose by less than a goal. Super Saturday where people on forums take advatnage of the Da Vinci Code. Million Dollar Tipping, they give heaps of stuff

Who cares if its for buisness good on them, its good marketing by them and the punters are happy, win win for everyone. Let me know the next time you get your money refunded or a free bet, ill happily take it if you dont want it.

So well done to our sponsors

You are 1 punter that Sportsbet will make money off! How many times have you deposited compared to withdrawn?

They love punters like you. Keep up the good work.

I'm with Overload on this one.
He was disagreeing with the previous comments that called what Sportsbet did a "gesture".

Since then everyone has agreed with Overload that what Sportsbet did wasn't a gesture but a business decision (which is obviously was), yet Overload is still the one getting crucified. :?

So a punter to get $x amount of dollars returned to them on a losing bet wouldn't consider it a gesture?

I think we're splitting hairs here anyway - Everyone understands the reason behind the action, some appreciate it, to some it doesn't matter, no drama either way.
