Flinders limping into the latter half of the season, need a few players back or we will be playing an away elimination final which would be disappointing since our best is good enough to match it with any side, in my opinion anyway.

Well done to Lutherans coach in his 150th, had the privilige of running with him throughout the day, good bloke and he deserves his accolades that come his way

I was trying to at least get it to click over to 36 pages - it was annoying me that I couldn't. Then you come on here with a one line post and nailed it straight away!!

A tall, strong, experienced and reasonably fit side. Will be tough to beat. Am I right in saying they have a few older blokes running around in the C's that played in your last A Grade premiership in '04 I think?

Yeah a handful of those guys are playing C grade. Coach Harper was A grade captain in premiership. All got young kids and cannot commit to full time training and playing. Fantastic they are putting back into the club and helping out the younger blokes in the C grade.
Harper will be an A grade coach one day i'd imagine. Terrific football brain and motivator.

said it at the start of the year, watch out for Flinders come finals time, at the moment they've only got a miniscule amount of players from last years grand final side but with their B's and C's in contention I suspect alot of player movements. What's happened to Goughie as coach?

What do you mean by this? Are they going to drop some B and C Grade players to win a D grade premiership?? Or a few "fringe" A Grade players might be making sure they qualify for the B Grade which will push a few down into the C's and D's?

Would love you to clarify...

Most clubs will be full quota around finals with players playing thru niggles and giving up work commitments so if you got your higher grades playing finals a club is well within it's rights to drop players who may not have played the usual allotted games. I can recall them having a few players last year from the C's playing their first game in the D's in the finals. I'm not suggesting anything sinister, it's just a good option to have if the club is performing as a whole, you guys may be in the same boat I just think flinders are a quality side and if they start playing like and get players back like they had last year they'll give it a shake. Could be wrong though ;)

Slow news week, are you serious...

This is important stuff in our current economic climate, with interest rates rising, purse strings tightening, the hole in the ozone layer, 4 buck snags are a real concern!
