I see ex-claret favourite, Robbie Blake, has joined up with Judas Coyle's bolton on a one year deal. Blake refused to sign an extension with Burnley claiming he wanted a longer term deal than the 1 year (with a 2nd year if he made 20 appearances) that he was offered by Burnley.

Suddenly he turns up at Bolton, one guess what, yep... a 1 year deal.

Rumours are also afoot that Mears will be joining him but it cost bolton £5m. and we got a text last night from MacDonald's girlfriend (she is a friend of Rita) saying Kevin is off to Bolton.

I guess we can only hope that coyle takes all last years players

COYLE SWOOPS FOR BLAKE

Blake, 34, has signed a one-year contract and will link up again with his former Burnley boss Coyle at the Reebok Stadium following the Clarets' relegation from the Barclays Premier League last term.

Coyle said: "We are delighted to have signed such an experienced footballer in Robbie Blake.

"He has proven Premier League ability and adds to our striking options. He is a bubbly character who will be a great lad to have in the dressing room.

"I worked with him for two fantastic years and I am pleased to link up with him again because I know a number of clubs were interested in securing his signature."

BOLTON SEAL DOUBLE SWOOP

Bolton manager Owen Coyle expressed his delight after completing his first two summer signings in Martin Petrov and Robbie Blake.

Bulgaria midfielder Petrov, who agreed terms with the club after being released by Manchester City at the end of last season, has penned a two-year deal.

"He's someone I've admired for a long time because he's a top-class player and this is a tremendous signing for the club," Coyle told the official club website.

"As far as I'm concerned he's probably one of the best Bosman transfers available. To try to purchase him on the market last year then it would have cost you £4-5million easily.

Petrov is a good pick up on a freebie imo. Not sure what is weekly paycheck will cost but he can add something to a poor attacking line up at Bolton. £5M Not sure about that valuation though, especially in today's market

MacDonald is a pretty big loss if that goes through. Hopefully the Clarets charge top dollar.
Mears was good last season, so that's a big loss too.

Agree, b ut Mears has made it clear he doesn't want to stop at Burnley and wants EPL football. Should have known what he was like as he did it at Derby too.

In the end of the day, if they don't want to be at Burnley, then there is no point forcing them to stay. you might as well get as much as you can for them and move them out.

We have enough trouble in the dressing room as it is without having a Berba situation

COYLE CRAVES WILSHERE RETURN

Bolton boss Owen Coyle has reiterated his desire to bring Arsenal youngster Jack Wilshere back to the Reebok on loan next season.
The 18-year-old midfielder proved a hit with the Trotters when he moved to the Reebok on a short-term deal in January, helping Coyle's side retain their Premier League status.
Coyle believes another loan spell would benefit both Bolton and Wilshere and he has been in touch with the Gunners about a possible deal.
It was a good move last year, but Wenger might not be so accomodating this year as Wilshire should play a bigger part in his plans. Especially if Fabregas does make the move to Spain.
Personally, on the Fabregas move, the world cup might have just got in the way of that unless they have been negotiating behind the scenes.?
