Over Moderating of this site

The issue raised by OP is easy fixed for Mods. Put a *NSFW* in the title of each thread that's deemed borderline.

Exactly what we have been discussing.

After much discussion between the Mods the thread has returned and moved to the Entertainment board with NSFW which we will use as a warning that you may wish to open when at home not work. By doing this we will still make sure our rules are strictly enforced.

NSFW = Not Suitable For Work

I tend to agree about under-moderating, especially with regard to abusiveness, and simple indecency, but it is a difficult line to tread.
What is abuse or indecency, like what is racism, tends to depend a bit on the eye of the beholder, and how the intent is interpreted.

I actually agree with Psyber. I don't allow personal internet browsing during working hours. Trouble is often you give an inch and they take a yard. One of my staff downloaded 122 issues of a motorbike magazine and a rake of other stuff. Before you know it he has taken up 64gb of memory on the server, downloaded file sharing software amongst others and joined up to countless travel sites, all pumping thier crap down my bandwidth.

I thought the Greg Edwards thread was interesting & had a good amount of soft sledging, most of it directed at my team.
Would it be possible that when a thread is liquidated, or whatever that little cross is that the hall monitor could, in it's haste, at least put an explanation as to why the thread is closed for the unwashed to comment further.

You've caught us out LEH, despite playing a clever ruse for the last 40 years it's finally come out that I, Dutchy, Dissident and all the moderators are actually Sturt supporters and this site is pro Sturt and anti everyone else.
