Totally agree. Night footy at SANFL level should cease end of May and maybe come back in mid August. I understand Westies were trying something different and credit to them for that. Crowd of 1400 odd may be slightly above average for the clash usually.

Well done Westies on a hard fought win.
A danger game after Souths good performance last week V Glenelg.

Any South fans see the 2 peanuts at 3 qtr time abusing the South players? One of which was only a lad of about 13.
They was sitting near me on the opposite side of the ground and they didn't stop abusing all players from both side all night and yes they were South fans, flags and all.
Not good to see IMO.
Darrel Hart and his mate, who were also sitting near me were watching young Schmit I believe, also thought these guys were a bit over the top.

Glad I had the thermals on but!

It wasn't all that cold - I think the last night against Port was much colder. I think the weather forecast would have put a lot of people off. All in all, not the worst south-West crowd

I found the scoreboard hard to read though! Maybe I need to get my eyes checked OR was it the atmospheric conditions making visibility a little harded. I havent had problems with previous night games... Anyone else at the game find it hard to read?

The Westies marketing lass said on LifeFM about a fortnight ago that they had always had poor attendances for West v South games at Richmond, so they would give this a try .. Good on them for doing so and at least finding out, I'd doubt they would have lost much on what they had budgeted for.

Official attendance was 1400 but there would have been at least 200 in the ground before the sanfl opened the gates

Watching Schmit (sic), funny but not Shaun McKernan?

Oh and those South supporters only abused West players and the umpires not South players.

Sorry but you might be right, they may have been watching McKernan too but I never heard them mention his name.

And after 3 qtr time, these two South fans ONLY abused South players.
I was sitting right next to them thanks.
