GAWLER DOGS
------------------

Its not often I compliment race clubs but hats off to the Gawler club.
This club is run on a voluntary basis unlike Mangle Park.
Vice chairman and Secretary Bob May is the unsung hero at this track
and he is always there with a smiling face and helps over the bar and
in the canteen and its great to be greeted by him.
All those formguides you see ay Gawler was implemented by Bob after
a well known professional punter requested them
His offsider Chairman and Treasurer and great Greyhound trainer Mike Wittoltz
is the bloke with the beard cooking the BBQ there and behind the bar.
Mike was one of my greyhound trainers several years ago a good trainer and top bloke.
His gorgeous wife Karen is there helping with volunteer work.

Gawler was at the crossroads a couple of years ago, but has re-emerged.
They used to be 8 races but now 10-11 races.
They have re-established a on course Bookmaker
Produce the best formguides on any dog tracks in SA
Are now an established racetrack on Sky Channell.

All this with a shoestring budget and low prizemonies.
Well done to Bobby and Mike on the clubs revival.

KID DAKOTA
---------------

3 runs at 731m for 2 seconds to Miss Columbia and 3rd in the distance final 04/01/07.
Times improved at each outing 43-94...43-66...43-49 in the final.
With $8K Prizemoney this dog is well worth the investment.
It is race 10-2
I wanted to tip it for a spesh BUT once again we have a moronic situation.
It raced 4/1/07 and a 4 day break is buttering up 8/1/07
This is moronic, you MUST not race dogs twice in 4 days over 731m and in hot nights.
C SIMES the trainer is a good trainer BUT....
ROOBURGER do you agree :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:
Lets watch it, it should still win as the field is ordinary.

PREVIEW
----------

This should be MESSIAH79 portfoilio but here goes

R3-2 TORPEDO RUNNER runs on well, any luck should go well EW

good luck

:? i need to clarify why we raced blizzard twice in 4 days.
we needed a win at angle park to get into the adelaide cup.
he won on a wed which was a bonus but the nom was already in for the monday meeting just in case he was not successful . d/h 3rd (notice his weight was up .4 kg) he certainly didnt need a drink 8)
hence thats why he is now having a 10 day break and did not run thursday or next monday night.
its very true dogs are not machines and need looking after.
he will be fresh and ready to go thursday 11th

ROOBURGER
I will adjourn my Stewmalwards enquiry and accept now why the
dog was raced indiscriminately last week, twice in 4 days.
Please note I will allow trainer Harris the benefit of the doubt
this time but I will not tolerate this in future.

Sanity prevails, I had faith in your trainer and you off course.
Hes a good dog

What about Kid Dakota twice in 4 days over 731m ?

too many variables on that one mal,
are the kennels cool, what time of race, how far and how did the dog travel, what part of the state is it kenneled, when did it last race and was it rehydrated proparly with enough electro lights and vitamins.
as you can see its not black and white.

Couple specials tonight chaps.

AG 5 no 5 Jacko's Victory showed good promise since coming over from NSW
MG 5 no 1 Train A Journey - Just wins.
MG 9 no 1 Dr Darcy, should be hard to hold out at about $3.50

Cranbourne CUP

I like Vapour Whirl for the cup, has early speed and is strong, mad railer too, all though Jamaindy Coops will be hard to beat, runs on hard, if it finds the front early it wont be beaten. Dyna Redbull will be there abouts with Elgrando Gold at good odds. for those who like them rough. Cash up has early pace and in good form, but has run 3 times in a week & beaten by a dog, who will be staying champion, flashing floods on Saturday night.
Go long to Robran son!

well boys i travelled to horsham with a mate of mine that trains dogs & one dog travelled in the car which had air conditioning & ran 2nd to blackjack tom in a big race, the other dog travelled in the dog float & was expected to win & went terrible that day & further more it never recovered from that trip, the tempreature was about 39, i was talking to him only last week & he agreed that the dog never recovered & if he got dogs good enough to travel again & it was hot they'd go in an air conditioned vehicle or he'd scratched them but would never take them in a hot float again on very hot days, he also stopped about 6 times on the way over to give them a drink etc
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway
