Well Done Aussies, Brilliant convincing win........................just on the English, HARRISON you are a joke!!!, great when the teams doing well, terrible when the teams down.....for a frontline bowler disgraceful performance......seems to suffer from "attitude issues"....shame coz he does appear to have excellent natural ability, height, bounce etc.......but not the type you can depend on.....very much a confidence player......

Brilliant performance Stuart Clark...............!!!!!!!!!!!....for me "Man of the Series"

Boycott sums it up beautifully, as reported in the Herald Sun

FORMER England captain Geoff Boycott has put the boot into the national team after it slumped to a humiliating 5-0 Ashes defeat at the SCG yesterday.

Boycott began with the fact that many members of the team had been awarded MBEs for the 2005 Ashes triumph before suffering only the second series whitewash in Ashes history.
Boycott weighed into the debate after Shane Warne sledged Paul Collingwood on Thursday for receiving an MBE for his scores of 10 and seven at the Oval in 2005.

"For 18 years England haven't won . . . Australia have been beating England every two years home or away," Boycott said on his BBC podcast.

"Suddenly, when England win, all hell breaks loose. They all get gongs at the palace.

"I scored 8000 runs and played a hundred Tests before I got one and what did he (Collingwood) score? Seventeen runs?

"And the others played five Tests to get one? I feel so bad about mine I'm going to tie it around my cat. It's a joke," he said.

Maybe if the selfish git had made his runs in lesser time at the crease, his MBE may have come sooner ;)

But...I do agree with his sentiments. Funny that he starts his well deserved rant talking about himself. Seems typical.

Geoff Boycott was the 'Golden Boy' of English Cricket for yonks & now a well respected commentator.
My memories of him was that he was the dullest most uninteresting Pommy batsman, until Phil Tufnall came onto the scene!
Anyway, Good on him for what he said!
Former Australian Captain & a bloke who's been commentating the great game since Jesus & John the Baptist opened for Jerusalem, Richie Benaud is only an MBE (I ain't no Monarchist) but if anyone deserves a Knighthood it's that bloke!
"Absolutely magnificent!" :D
