What about the little bloke? (currently on the Bomber's list)
I reckon that HE was the best on ground that game!

I am with Wedgie, we should have beaten the Legs in round one but didnt capitalise. North Adelaide I never expected to see us win against, hence reason we went back to clubrooms at Prospect to listen to Jars after the muddy game.

Very costly in the scheme of things.
Definately not North, the Bays and their fans would have written those 3 games against North off in 2006 as losses before the season even started.

we may have written off the 3 games against north as losses at the start of the year, but then when you are in a position to win you shouldnt just give it away like charity.

even centrals we would have written off the 3 games, but we still managed to beat them convincingly early in the season.

unfortunately the games dont go according to what you think at the start of the season.

It sounds to me like the glenelg fans thought they had a good year in 2006 (just a bit of luck went against you). Pump the chest out bay fans and be proud of your mighty tigers. Other teams supporters whose team miss out on finals feel pain.

Pat on the back to you and your bays psuedo.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Glenelg missing Finals

Postby sturtpeter » Sat Jan 06, 2007 5:01 pm

I agree with Glenelg having a good year as compared to 2005.

Should have played Finals on their best form against Central, Eagles Norwood and Port.

They certainly have to regret that point loss at Brighton Rd. Not because it was Sturt who beat them, but, the attitude displayed on field for 90% of that game.

i disagree to a point, certainly the players mindset was very poor, but you had to admire how sturt went about the game. they did all those 1%'s that coaches all love and they deserved to win. walking away from that I hoped the players learnt a bit from the sturt boys about pressure, commitment, determination etc..... obviously didnt work because they showed none of that against south in the last game

I blame their fans, if they actually weren't the worst travellers in the comp they might inspire their team to win a few more away.
