just putting it out there (stiring sh*t) , but could Old iggies potentially miss the finals!?
they have Smosh/WL (H), Portland (A), Para Hills (H), CBCOC (A) their form at the moment doesnt have any of those games as a given. imo

Seaton have Scotch (a) Kilburn (h), Mitcham (a) PAC (H) seatons season could come down too PAC at home in the last game!

i was looking at this the other day IMO seaton will play finals and i think smosh will just get bumped out,
the only team that is a certainty is PAOC to finish top

What happened was the director said " its only Seaton"
I think you'll find the umpires have been informed to nail a certain coach when they can.

Turn it up NM. The Saafl does not have a vendetta against the Seaton coach. Absolutely Ludircous to suggest they would instruct Umpires to officiate in one way against a certain team because of their coach.

Seaton are still a big chance to play a role come finals time given their run home NM, so i thought that would be the priority rather then chasing shadows.

I think NM is talking in regards to Hosie being reported.
If he called the umpire a disgrace then thats his own fault.

Interesting comments about field umpires over-rulling goal umps on calls.

As far as i'm aware, the field ump makes the call unless he isn't sure at which point it is then passed over to the goal ump for his decision.
Based on that method you should never have a situation where a field ump needs to over-rule. IF he knows he calls it, if he doesn't it's the goal umps call, simple as that.

moody has prior arrangements going on a wine tour.

Lipson still week or 2 away, may have a kick in the B's or c's to try and get some match fitness.

the central umpire should not over rule the goal umpire unless it is very blatant mistake by the goal umpire. or the goal umpire is unsighted and the central umpire has a better view of the ball going thought the goals.

I hope ur not fishing for compliments ;)

DeViers is a gun. Hopefully he gets a job offer to good to refuse in the Bahamas come finals time.

We needed to take him out of the game high up on a wing or use a decoy. Worst result when the ball was in his area was a 30m spoil over the boundary line.

You guys isolated a lot of your players in dangerous zones which meant u were not kicking pack to pack and your blokes would win the 1 on 1's. I would like to say the bad kicking for goal was because of our pressure but really it was just bad football and your biggest weakness on the day. I thought Alby got the better in the ruck and was a return to form for him. Noticed you ran with a loose man in defence when we started to get a run on in 3rd and start of 4th qtr thought it was a very good move. First reaction for PAC is a handball out the back and run it over the line. I think its going to take a very defensive effort to get the choccies from u blokes. The Barton oval will suit u lads finals time.

Didnt recognise too many players from last years gf team either. Will go through undefeated this year. Anything less would b a sin. The rest of us playing for 2nd.

HA na not fishing for anything. you actually tend to give an honest apraisal when you do choose to give it. just thought i'd get your thoughts. the ruck contests were interesting i think the ball ups were probably 50/50 but alby got the better of us around the ground.

on the new faces. from last years GF we have off the top of my head 8-10 changes. couple of new blokes, couple of guys who played b's pushing up. and a couple of guys not playing good footy and ending up in the magoos. probably about the same as most clubs.[/quote]

Alby having a break will do wonders for him i think. Hes been carrying our ruck dept for a long time. He is going to be very hard to stop, this time last year he was starting to break down.

Iggies and the rest of us could potentially miss out on finals (obviously not PAC).

Mitcham (A) SMOSH (H) Portland (A) Iggies (H). Win 2 of those and i think that would b enough to tie up a finals berth win 3 and hopefully enough for double chance.

Para Hills wouldve done a poo in their pants when they heard Scotch won. What do people think Scotch or Para Hills down. Cant see Scotch catching em.

Trader is partially correct, as the central Umpire gives the "All Clear" or "Touched All Clear" but this is to simply state that the Goal umpire is now clear to make his/her decision. Over rule should only be made if a clear mistake has been made or the touched part was unheard.
