Those world records are rubbish.
You have to be strict for legitamate weights.
Down and up, touch chest.
No spot but the lift off to locked position.

For me... Not enough weights too much speed work haha

An Adelaide Hills bloke used to be Australian bench press champion I believe.

He's a bit older now, but recently lifted 240kg.

Steve Little's his name from memory.

This is the thing, I see blokes in the gym all the time claim to be able to lift a certain weight but they use poor form and technique, arching the back and crap like that. I'm only impressed by people who can do it smoothly with nice form.

For me... Not enough weights too much speed work haha

Get the man some iggs!
It's all the SANFL's fault.

As the old saying goes- 'It's not how much you can lift, but how much you look like you can lift'

Its all about form and technique..

There was an article in yesterdays paper I was reading about the Danny Green v Paul Briggs fight. In it mentioned Brock Lesnar. Its says that he weighs 120kg and benches 220kg.

 Nah It didn't.

I was also reading in the Alpha magazine that Wallabies and Western Force prop Matt Dunning (183 cm, 119kg) can bench 185 kg, squat 232.5kg and deadlift 240kg.
