EPL Slaughter Comp Season 2010/2011

Postby johntheclaret » Tue Jul 27, 2010 10:09 am

Someone suggested we introduce a slaughter comp for this season, so here it is.

Pick a game each week and precict the result, Home Win, Draw or Away Win. Being as there are more sides in the EPL than the SANFL, you can't pick the same team more than once in 5 picks. that should keep it a bit more interesting and stop everyone picking Chelsea one week and Man U next week and Chelsea again on the 3rd week.
Fail to pick the correct result and you are out of the comp until we have a winner.

I'll set up a spreadsheet to log everyone's picks that will keep an eye on who picked which teams.

There will be some footy and SAFooty goodies on offer to each winner. I'll keep a list of winners through out the season and send all the goodies out at the end.

I've edited Wedgies sticky at the top of the "soccer" board so you can find the comps

Excuse my ignorance JTC...

Please correct me if I'm wrong;

Week 1: I pick Blackburn v Fulham - DRAW, if it's a draw I stay in competition otherwise I'm out, yeah?

Pretty much LEH

You pick a team each week and predict their result. So if you picked Fulham to draw and they did then you survive another week, but you can't pick Fulham again for another 5 weeks.

OK, Week 1... Gunna take the 'soft option' & pick
Man U to WIN - Geordies can't win, can they?

IMO, that's a danger game due to their respective history. ManU are always slow starters, plus they have lots of injury and fitness concerns.

Chelsea to beat WBA (sorry Di mateo, still love ya but).
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

Not keen on Chelsea ever winning so will go for a win to Sunderland. They gave Spurs a touch up first up a few seasons ago.
