Round 18 - Port v Sturt @ Alberton 2.10pm Sun 1st August

Postby GWW » Sun Jul 18, 2010 10:03 pm

Split Round - week 2

The in form Double Blues will be hoping to notch up a win against the struggling Magpies after losing to them earlier in the season.

Port will be hoping the home ground advantage will help them get over the line, however Sturt should have too much experience for the Magpies who are still to learn how to play 4 quarters of football.

Sturt to win by 23 points.

sturt marching towards the finals & they know they can't have anymore hiccups so i'd expect them to win but only just, port will have belief that they can win after their most recent match against sturt at unley, i think sturt by 1 or 2 goals

The Magpies will take confidence from the fact the last time these 2 sides met, Port got the win away from home...

This time they are on their home deck and depending whether the Jekyl or Hyde Sturt side show up, Tony Bamford's side are every chance for the win...

It's all the SANFL's fault.

Point being don't think that the Blue Boys can just roll up and the result is a given, I think Port will make them earn their win but Sturt's mindset has to be up there or it could be AN UPSET -The UPSET of the round

given the 'early forecast' & sturt being notorious duffers in the wet port may dampen their quest to jump into the top 5 this week

Totally agree with your comments... anything less than full focus will see Port beat us again... if we're on our game, then I expect a difficult game for a half, but then Sturt should edge away...
