82 and kicking arse. My Park2Park 5k race is three weeks away and I'm on a diet trying to shed a few kilos so I don't have to carry extra blubber during the run.

Dieting bites the big one though! Are there no pleasures left to me anymore?

regards,

REB

I know I'm not in the comp but just thought I'd report I'm now down 48 kgs (averaging 500g a week the last 18 months and yes I was m o ).. still walking 3.5 k (some hill climbing) and swimming between 300-400 metres Sunday - Thursday evenings. I'm feeling so much different and really enjoying all the positive feedback that frequently comes my way... I often thank the Universe for the diabetes diagnosis 18 months ago.. was definitely what I needed and hopefully has added some time to my life B-) for sure it's damn hard but ffs what choice do I have now? i like to think I'm an intelligent woman and let me tell you, I did not relish the thought of amputated limbs at the age of 50 which is what the Doctors were telling me and at 40 I was displaying some pretty heavy symptoms  I am really enjoying the extra energy I have and know that this is just the beginning for me :D
RIP my DH 1964 - 2009 - You were one of the best and I miss you

THE CHALLENGE
--------------------

Im going to lose 9 kilos by December 24th, and then enjoy xmas.
That is my challenge, which I think I can achieve.
I will be known as MALnutrition and then I can jibe the fat stablemates
known as HUNK ROOSTER, MASSIVE TIGER79+ BAYBALOONBELLYMAN.
I weigh 109 kilos, and I am a fataholic.
IF I DONT GET BELOW 100kgs BY XMAS I WILL SHOUT $100 WORTH OF
FOOD AND DRINKS FOR MY 3 STABLEMATES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ADVICE
---------

Any advice out there from anyone about weight loss techniques ?
I specifically dont wont to go on a complete diet, that never works, but will
incorporate exercise as the main constituent.
Jokes are ok from all the shitstirrers out there as well, it will only inspire me.

Well Im going to donate my green tee shirt to the boy scouts, they can use
it for a tent

PORT POWER -DON BRADMAN
Today I weighed myself
118-8 kg
So might as well pig out today and put on the extra .02 kilos
I can start Monday on 119
119 being that famous number that will haunt Port Power for a long time

99 is the Dons Test cricket average so if I can get there I am in illustrious company
99 is the weight I want to be at by Xmas Eve
Thats 20 kgs in about 18 weeks

I think today should be a National eat as much as you like day
After all it is 8/8/2010
Eight Eight Two Thousand and Ten ....

Next target will be 88 kgs by 8/8/2011
Thats a whopping 31 kilos in 52 weeks
On that day will pig out being the annual eat date

Todays Menu
BREAKFAST :Bacon and Eggs
SNACK : Undecided , need something to eat b4 getting to Footy Pk mid afternoon, maybe potato chips and chocolates, depending where I am
LUNCH : Will be at Footy Park so will gorge into a Balfours Pie, Fried Chips and a Coca Cola mid afternoon [and maybe a choccy donught with a coffee after a hour or two]
DINNER: A Pizza, what else for a late finish to a eatathon,

That should get me above the 119 by TOMorrow
Then the battle of the bulge will begin
