Weird stuff you've seen

Postby OnSong » Mon Aug 02, 2010 2:22 pm

I was leaving the supermarket today and there was a an elderly bloke sitting on a chair with no shoes on, scalpel in hand cutting words out of a magazine.
My immediate thought was 'ransom note' but I didn't really want to turn around for another gander.

Anyone else seen anything weird lately??

I saw a high speed chase (minus the high speed) up North East Road a few weeks ago as 3 teenage kids riding those mini motorbikes were chased by a police car. The kid was going up and over the medium strip like Evil Knievel and from one side of the road to the other as the patrol car careful mounted the kerbs.... all it needed was the music from the Benny Hill show !!
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

You guys'll never believe me. There was two cop cars, okay? And they were chasing this four-wheel deal, this real neat ORV, and there were bullets flying all over the place. It was the most amazing thing I ever saw!

More amazing than the time Michael Jackson came over to your house to use the bathroom?

At the old 24 hour coles store on Goodwood rd which is now Foodland, we were treated to a 40ish female customer shopping in a short cut t shirt only which proved a rather interesting sight!

When you say ugly as sin, do you mean as in a couple of hot birds committing adultery against their husbands by getting it on with one another?

If yes, it was me.

Was having a few drinks outside the Griffins Head a couple of years ago when all of a sudden i heard a noise, looked around, saw a car roaring down the footpath. It had I think tried to turn into Grenfell from Pulteney, but went onto the footpath instead (along Grenfell street). It only stopped because of the kerb, and whilst i wasn't in danger of being hit, it scared the hell out of me, and it only finished probably 2 or 3 metres away from where i was sitting.

It was a real surreal feeling (particularly as i'd have a few drinks to that time), and then to top it off, someone on the top balcony of the pub, dropped an ashtray, smashing the car's windscreen.

On holiday in Russia. First day sightseeing in Moscow. Sitting on a tour bus in a queue at traffic lights in the morning rushhour on the main road into the city centre which is unbelievably wide with about 4 or 5 lanes of traffic on each side. I look out of my window to the right (they drive on the wrong side of the road there) and see a car drive past me along the pavement forcing pedestrians to run out of the way...it then makes a right turn at the junction ahead and drops back down onto the road. A few seconds later another car does the same...then another and another and so on. When we asked the tour giude she told us it's nothing out of the ordinary and the locals often do that so they don't have to wait for the lights to change  and to think, as a pedestrian, I get angry at dh's who park on pavements

Was heading out fishing with a mate of mine and before we headed out we knocked back a coupla cans and a joint (this was a while back). We decided to stop at the shops for a FUIC and as we drove into the carpark i was telling my mate about the 3 hold ups theyve had at this deli in the last couple of months. Low and behold i havent finished my story and 2 masked bandits followed by a couple of blokes bolt out the shop and past my car. Being slightly stoned we looked at each other and said something like "did that just happen". A bloke in a car ahead of us got out his car and chucked a fairly full can of export at the 3rd bandit in line (who turned out to be the shop keeper giving chase). The cops took a good 15-20 minutes to rock up but the bandits got away. As a side note when we got down the Port River my mate phoned his misses to tell her what happened and as he was in the middle of his story he fell off a rock and into the river and lost his phone. Was one weird night.

Probably just a pissed off night shift worker getting the neighbours back.
It's all the SANFL's fault.
