an ok side zedman as it is hard to pick a team of the year because so many people see games differently......i may be bias but id have to have 2 others in your side....Steven Cooper and Danny ''DECK CHAIR'' Phillips.....

coops is there..HBF

oldfiled was unlucky..nearly 50 goals is a great effort first year of seniors..as deeman says..its not a team you would actually play with..to top heavy up forward..i think davis is just a better all round player than bryant..and younger..didnt know of phillips but i will take your advice that hes good..voyzey has to get a defensive role though somewhere..

nicholls is on the bench and would be used no doubt..very important player to the hawks..

i like the team you have picked but as yo pointed out it is not one i would look at putting on the ground from a forward perspective.
the amount of chase and defensive pressure you would get from these legends if the ball hit the ground would be none existant.no crumbers
Nathan Bryant for me at chf mainly because he is now playing more up the ground and like big stubby he has that bit of mongrel that the good players have.big ali would be in my team but believe it or not i would be inclined to play him on the wing.his an athlete with height and good skilss and would be an advantage over other teams who would not be able to match up on him
apart fom that defensively it is sound but the the one thing you left out is who would you get to coach them?
a challenge for you!
think about the whole role of the coach and who would be your choice?
So many egos,so much talent so many different styles, thats what makes the difference in not only this team but many others

let me put my thinking cap on..i didnt forget..i just couldnt pick one :P

premiership coach is the man for sure but who will that be?

probably is mcpherson..lifted the hawks to nearly an 18-0 year..other clubs and coaches have only done what they should have i reckon..

L Davis has the best contested grab in Div 6 and is fitter than all the big forwards - has a huge workrate.

surely J before G this season!

If anyone from Ingle Farm deserves a gig it's Josh Hawksworth. Would slot nicely into a back pocket. G Hawk.....maybe, but not sure he has had his best season. Ryan Tremain.....maybe, but defintely not in back pocket ahead of J Hawksworth, possibly half forward or more likely bench

fair calls senor..i just thought G was a little bit more assured and safer than J..tremain had to be in imo..but there were no forward flanks for him left..you would use him as a rebounding defender..but HFF as you say would be the go..

Picking a Team Of The Year is extremely hard especially as 'most' people only get to see guys twice a year. Opinions differ as does form, making it a very hard side to select.
One thing though, guys should only be selected in a position if they ACTUALLY play the MAJORITY of their football in THAT position...Just a thought

i know what your saying bionic..but..which FF misses out?..you got stubberfield, osborn, mickan and dalby..only one can play in the team using that thinking..but the other 3 all deserve a spot because they are in the best 22 in division 6..thats what its about imo..the best 22 players placed as well as they can to the roles they usually play in..its not AFL where we all know everything about everybody..some artistic license has to be given.. :)

I tend to agree with Bionic as well. Although as you said Zed it is hard as most clubs only see players once or twice. I think your backline looks a bit suspect as well. Don't think you could complain with most of your players though.

Poor Zed lol, bites the bullet and takes the plunge at picking a team and everyone rips into him!

I think you need to combine positions and best players, just divide the ground into thirds and choose your best defenders, best forwards and best midfield/wing/rucks.

So basically i think he has done a pretty good job with his squad and would say it is fairly accurate.
