Shocking must run in the family then hey. Especially when it comes to cards. ;)

Anyone know how the n=home final would work in the C grade comp?

Can a side pay to have a C grade home final or does it automatically go to a neutral ground? Any UNI people know if they would buy a home C4 final?

the upper position sides can pay to have home finals provided the ground meets the saafl criteria.
i'd expect uni to buy the second semi (depending on how the uni c2 side goes this week it may be a 12.15 start).

If Salisbury finish third we won't be able to buy the home final, as the club had previously agreed to host CDJFL finals on that day and will honour the commitment.

of course a no brainer
4 plus games of finals with probably 100 parents and friends watching from each club
or
1 game with spot the dog and his owner watching

tell you what Pag you can play your home final at The Lodge on the Sunday ;)

Don't worry about the crowd numbers, it was about honouring the commitment. The estimated bar, canteen and BBQ sales had nothing to do with the decision... ;)

I'll hazard a guess and say with our C7 side being in a GF at Thebby at 11am, the C Grade might be on down there as well at 12.15

Darft only was put up for games:

Salisbury Vs Unley @ Salisbury
Uni Vs GG @ Park 10 (12:15)

Looking forward to getting out there and playing finals now!

Hopefully get good weather and a good crowd consider UNI have thier C2 side playing after and we have B and D grade the week off and A grade on Sat. I would assume Park 10 would be too hard to pay to enter so supporters should be able to get there without cost?

So what does a home final cost?

How would a club such as UNI get anything back for the game? At park 10 there is no food or drink service at all?

On a side note, can anyone from UNI C4 side ensure they will be at the ground earlier than 30 minutes before the start? Old blokes like me need strapping etc and every time i have played out at park 10 we have been kept waiting for the changerooms to be opened. If you are hosting, be good hosts yeah?? :)

Uni hosted us back in 2008 ( :axe: ) & they seemed to host it alright... (bbq's etc)

There'll be a food and drink tent etc at park 10 on sunday - and due to setup there'll be someone there from 11. I suggest perhaps an early appointment with the phsyio post breakfast on sunday just to ensure your strapping gets done. :)

We'll also keep the hot water on for you...possibly...

The club in the past hasn't considered the financial side of hosting finals as that important; more so than it giving the sides involved the best opportunity to play deep into the finals. I know several years ago in c1, the players and officials all chipped in to ensure that the club wasn't losing money on it.

Surely one of your players is a physio and they could help me out? ;)

Never had an issue with the hot water at Uni, especially since most of the young guys wont shower! :ymsick:

Im looking forward to Sundays game Finn, good to see you will have food and drink tents available for supporters, there is not much point during the year I can appreciate that but good to see in the finals. Hope we can reverse the last result and go straing into the GF!!

should be another good game between you guys - as the past few have been pretty close- especially the prelim last year.

Pag, looks like your C grade game is still at Salisbury, could they not play that game early saturday morning before your A and B grade?

would Unley oval hold up for three games on a day?

Would have been great for all you to play at the same ground?
