Spurs bid 12m for KJ last january, but Bruce rejected the bid. Silly boy. I really rate Jones. He's a nightmare for defenders. He's got pace, good finishing, arial threat and strength.

Stoke look set for another good season and with a decent strikeforce, could press for as high as 8-9 IMO.

I'm a Sunderland fan and am very happy he has gone. All the ability in the world, but has the concentration of a goldfish. Not too many Sunderland fans bemoaning his transfer, and it is telling that only Stoke came in for him and no-one else. Not saying anything against Stoke at all, but to not have even one other club interested is strange for a player of his undoubted talent.

And it was 8 million ;)

Liverpool Confirm Signing Of Poulsen

Liverpool have confirmed they have signed Danish midfielder Christian Poulsen from Juventus.

The Reds made the 30-year-old international star their latest summer capture on Thursday when he signed off on a three-year Anfield contract.

Juventus had confirmed earlier in the day that they'd agreed a fee of around £4.5m to send Poulsen to Merseyside.

He fits Liverpool's need for a defensive midfielder with Javier Mascherano linked with a move away from the club.

Poulsen, capped 77 times by Denmark, knows Hodgson well having first joined his FC Copenhagen side in 2000.

Don't know much about this bloke, is he any good?

Unfortunately for you Connie, Poulsen is absolute trousers and Juve would be happy to be rid, I'd have though. He'd done nothing for them for a couple of years now.

Still, he's better than old mate Lucas

Balotelli has signed with man cry ( ). They now have 17 strikers, 6 attacking midfielders, no defence and 2 goalkeepers and will line up in a revolutionary 1-0-2-8 formation.

Chelski have signed ramires in a move tha looks like they're trying to win the league by just buying up players so nobody else can have them.

Sky sports news are reporting that schwartzer has handed in a transfer request. Can't blame him for finally jumping at a move to a big club. Pity he'll be tainted as a filthy gooner forever!

Craig Bellamy has signed with Cardiff City on loan. HUGE signing as I really think this guy should be playing EPL still, he was superb for Man City last season. A lifelong supporter of Cardiff so it is a dream come true for Bellamy.

Man Cry's treatment of Bellamy is nothing short of a ******* disgrace. IMO, that's a restraint of free trade and the EU should step in and investigate.

But great news for Cardiff. I hope he gets them promoted and returns to MiddleEastlands in the prem and rips them a new one.

When he signed for Liverpool he said he was a lifelong Liverpool supporter too.

Is he another of those eggs in each basket Cardiff supporting people is he?

James Milner completes his transfer to Manchester City

England midfielder James Milner has completed his move to Manchester City from Aston Villa on a five-year deal. City have also announced that Stephen Ireland has moved to Villa Park as part of the deal, reportedly worth £26m.

Milner, 24, will not be able to play in City's Europa League game at FC Timisoara but is available for Monday's Premier League visit of Liverpool. "He can improve and be a great player for Manchester City for a long time," said manager Roberto Mancini.

Milner, who scored in Villa's 3-0 opening day Premier League victory against West Ham United, passed a medical on Tuesday before completing the move on Wednesday after paying visits to the City of Manchester Stadium and the club's Carrington training ground.

We have a very strong squad, and this signing is a very important one for us City manager Roberto Mancini "It didn't take too much selling by the boss when you see the players who are already here and the plans for the club," said Milner. "The last thing he said to me was 'be ready for the next game', and then he said 'be ready to win the Premier League', and that's my ultimate aim - that's what I want to do and why I'm here.

"There's a lot of competition to get there, it's where we all want to be. "I'm ambitious and I want to win trophies here. I believe this is a great place to do that and I believe we will do it. Hopefully, sooner rather than later."

City did not say how much it paid for Milner, but an outlay of more than £25m would take the club's spending to almost £150m since May. Milner - the current Professional Footballers' Association young player of the year - joins Yaya Toure, David Silva, Jerome Boateng, Aleksandar Kolarov and Mario Balotelli in moving to Eastlands this summer.

"I am very happy to have James with us," stated Mancini. "Everybody knows we have admired him for some time. "He is an excellent midfielder, who can play in a number of positions. "This is important for the team, and I am looking forward to seeing him play for us. We have a very strong squad, and this signing is a very important one for us. "James he is already a very good player, who has proved he can play at the very top level. But he is also young and a good character, I think he can also improve and be a great player for a long time."

The Italian indicated that the arrival of Milner will be the club's final signing before the transfer window closes at the end of the month - but defended City's sizeable outlay on new players. "I think so," added Mancini, when asked if Milner ended his final summer spending. "If you want to buy a new player you must spend money. It is the market."

If Milner's played in centre mid on a regular basis he's improving to the extent that the only comparable player in the PL would be Steven Gerrard...

Meanwhile, Ireland, 23, spent eight years at City in which he made 142 starts and scored 23 goals after coming through the ranks as a teenager. He was the club's player of the year for the 2008-2009 season, although the Irishman did not feature frequently last season. "I've kind of forgotten the feeling of what it is like to come off after a game feeling tired, winning or losing. I'm not used to sitting out for so long," said Ireland. "So for me, I want to get back to playing at the top of my game and I want to work hard for my team-mates. "I want to see if me and my team-mates can push on and achieve something massive this season."

Like Milner, Ireland will not be able to play in the Europa League on Thursday - Villa take on Rapid Vienna in Austria - but he could make his Villa debut in the Premier League against Newcastle on Sunday.

Mesut Ozil to Real Madrid for 12m.

The question must be asked......Milner for 18m or Ozil for 12m?

I know who I'd prefer!!!

Yeh i did see that! After his performance on the big stage i'd rather Ozil too. But the Germans do have a habit of making a name for themselves in the World game and then go missing for their clubs... Lets see what Ozil does

True. Plus Milner is well established in England. To be honest, I doubt Ozil will play every week for Real.

The Man City approach you think? If we buy everyone then there will be nobody left for other clubs to buy, we win

Probably. Although Real Madrid have a great list of players, Barca have the best team.
Man Cry will struggle to ever do it IMO, because they're just not in the same class as the big boys in England.
