how did you go FS?

Oh well, hopefully can improve off the tee as the rest of the game isnt toooo rusty.

TTG should be in great condition, maybe slightly heavy and slowish greens!

3ballsgolf on ebay is very good.

Between them and rockbottomgolf I've filled my entire bag for around a third of the price of what I'd pay locally. A golfing gold mine.

That golf shop on South Road next door to the Avoca (Edwardstown) has excellent golf ball prices.

Think its called Golf Clearance Outlet or something like that.

Do any of the regular golfers on here use a spreadsheet or something similar to keep tabs on their handicap? My mates and I generally play very sporadically during the warmer months when footy commitments aren't as heavy and we've got to the stage where we'd like to estimate what sot of handicap we'd play off, without joining a specific club.

Playing off 8 at moment , but now I am taking break from cricket hope to get down to 2 or 4 by this time next year.If want to get an idea on handicap and are not a member take average from 5 rounds by adding up total of all five cards and divide by 70 or 72 depending on course rating that you are playing example 77 78 78 80 79 =392 divide by 72 =5.4 or divide by 70=5.6 so this would give you a handicap of 6

only catch is with Rockbottom is that it is a U.S based website. Prices are listed in U.S dollars and then you have to pay for postage to Australia

I bought a driver for Christmas from Callaway used golf site. Got a $700 driver for about $140 plus postage (which was steep at about $45 IIRC). I ordered the club in good condition which means its shown signs of usage, but when I received it, it was practically new. Couldn't find a scratch on it.

I would have no hesitation buying more gear from Callaway in this way, except maybe buy more things or order with a mate so that we can split the postage.

Played at Sandy Creek/Gawler on Friday.
Great course in great nick.
Only down side was being unable to putt on the greens.
I'm not a bad putt, but these were faster than your first root and nearly impossible to read. Lol

Back into the 'swing' played South Lakes a couple of weeks ago and hit 38 points, didnt scratch a hole. First time in years!

Played Murray Bridge last week, hit 81 off the stick, just some costly missed putts and a couple of wayward tee shots prevented a really decent round. Was hitting some nice approach shots (for a change!). Course in good nick as always.

Next stop Wirrina this sunday. Hope the greens have grass on em this time!

Totally agree with ya on the greens. Its funny when someone taps a putt on one side of the green and a minute and a half later it rolls off the other side of the green.

Yeah you can safely add an extra shot a hole onto your score when you play there. Last I played I had a 99 there, but hit an 83 at Balaklava the week before and an 84 the week after playing there.
