I think I made the call on Barrie last year and he came no where near it in the end, which is why I'm off him this year. Good player though.

Throops wrote:Not a bad call Lance he will be right up there for mine along with Skoblyk and J Mcperson. C Barrie might be the roughy

Agree with Skobes and J-Mc. I think Skobes will draw some attention with the helmet and may be the winner at the end of the day, but I'm gonna lead with my stable-mate still in Nathan.

I went this way a few pages back and I'm gonna stick with it, although I'm sure the umpires will conjure up a surprise or two.

I don't think Buss has been as consistent as the rest, but his really good games should get him a few threes.

Diesel was riding himself home by the half-way mark, but hardly polled in the back 9.

Choccies, I'd be interested to know how Jimmy Kuhndt only polled one vote for the entire count, but Sheppard polled 34 (double the guys who finished second). Has Shep really been that good, or has Jimmy had a very big shafting? I thought Jimmy would win your B&F comfortably?

IMO shep has had a great year, but jimmy has been the standout.
he never polls well tho ever...
he is going to win his 3rd consecutive B&F for the club and would be lucky to of accumilated 5 votes in the medal count.
just the way it is....

Yep agreed. Both are totally different players though. Toddy being a centreman gets the clearances, does the hard work in and under whilst Jimmy runs and delivers off half back beautifully. To say there was 30 odd votes difference between them is strange because Jimmy has had a great year too and as Johno said, will come very close to the GG B&F which he won last year ahead of John Boxer who won the Div 4 medal so go figure.... But well deserved by Todd. Has busted his gut right from the first training session in November and thouroughly deserves it from our clubs point of view. As most clubs would say about their players too I guess....

With Boxer (last years medal winner) and Kundht (GG's best player) getting most of the attention, Shep probably just flies under the radar

Cant comment too much on the form of the guys as I am usually playing at the same time, but Sheppard is such a smart footballer, does the hard stuff that umpires notice. You can argue that thing s get biased when there are club umpires but I have no doubt he is a well deserving medal winner in Div 4 as he was in Div 6 a few years back. Can see him winning more in the future. Well done Todd!

P.S well done to Shep, well deserved, gun player.
but i do think it would be unfair for Jimmy not to win one if he does win 3 B&Fs in a row.

Box Shep and Kuhndt are all absolue gun players tho

SANSBURY, WILLIAM Greenacres (11)
PEAD, DEAN Pooraka (10)

Not sure "good enough" is the right term. Maybe "didn't get enough votes from the umpires" is more suitable as we all know ones ability doesn't always attract votes from our mates in orange and green
