Funny how teams finish above us show still get worse crowd figures than us - demonstrates to a point that we have fans that are prepared to stick to with the club that is, in my humble opinion, the best footy club in Australia!!!

I think it demonstrates that you quite often come behind South and West. ]

Demonstrates that "pain is temporary and glory is forever" and Glory days are around the corner for us

The two most successfull teams of the past 20 years (Centrals and port) have demonstrated that a winning club culture, simple game plan and blokes that are consistantly prepared to do the 1%ers you will play winning finals footy.

Recruits are the icing not the whole cake[/quote]
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Centrals (too much class not to be up there, would hope to not have their depth tested too severely)
North (Get the feeling Jars still has the club on the way up, they round out the 3 legitimate flag contenders imho)
Eagles (Good solid list, but can't see where the improvement on last season is going to come from)
Norwood (Reasonable list, plenty of youth who should improve, ? = their response to a new coach/style)

Sturt (Again solid, but aging list, will need to see decent time from their AFL listed's, think they might be on the decline)
South (Raffle Book City, no doubting some of the talent on their list, but who will be there come round 1 & will they put in?)
West (Year of rebuilding but there's a lot to like about the way they are doing it, won't be down for long)
Glenelg (Not sure if they have covered their losses, will need a few more signings prior to seasons commencement)

Obviously, crystalballing at this time doesn't mean sh.., but thats how I see things as they currently stand!

I lurrve a realist...

My predictions for the ladder are that it will consist of 9 teams.

Of those 9 teams, 4 will hold the top rungs and are the only real chances to sit at the top of the ladder at the end of the season. these teams (in my order) are North, Port, Eagles, Centrals

There will be one team to fill up the 5th spot, just for decoration. Norwood

The teams to be holding up the rest of the ladder...sturt, west, south and glenelg, these teams have 2 chances of winning the grand final...
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...

Well i think for the bays to move forward they really have to get rid of those senior players that are just causing problems. Then prehaps a new coach down there will have a chance. Sure this happens there will be a pit of pain, but it will be a step in the right direction. my predictions this year:

1. Centrals
2. North
3. Port
4. Eagles
5. Norwood
6. Sturt
7. Glenelg
8. South
9. West

Although from 7 - 9 these teams can pretty much finish anywhere. I am sort of expecting some interesting results from West this season, as it is amazing what happens when you have a team that is prepare to rally around the coach. And i think Weeds might just be the man they need.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

1st Centrals- still the team to beat.
2nd Port- have procured a plethora of high priced quality players for "roger ramjet"
3rd Eagles- ok but will miss O'hara
4th Sturt- will still go ok whileSquires and co are allowed to run forward of the contest.
5th North- The clown of the sanfl wont be laughing.
6th South- The dollars still wont do the trick.
7th Norwood- Only because I think we can beat them twice.
8th West- Ditto and wont do any good until you know who leaves.
9th Glenelg- .......ditto ...COULDNT HAPPEN TO A NICER BUNCH OF BLOKES.!

Wedgie, Spell Check or Legs 11 do you have a SANFL membership table?

As I always have said you crowd figures aren't as important as membership numbers as you are not a real supporter of your club unless you are a paid up member.

That will give a truer picture, in my opinion, of who are the more popular clubs.

FYI I'm not expecting Glenelg to be in the top four.....

Rooters rule the world,

I'm sorry but I find it hilarious that supporters of a club will refer to themselves as cocks!
By the way I also find it disconcerting that I as a Prospect ratepayer I pay rates for the the maintenance and up keep of that COCK-EYED pughole you call Prospect oval. This while your club wallows in cash generated from 2,yes 2 pokie palaces........

Well why should we (NAFC) pay anymore for the oval maintenance when the council refuses to secure the place at night and allows the grandstand facilities, fencing, scoreboard, canteens etc be subjected to regular damage and vandalism. All we need is for someone to either burn the place down or injure themselves at night falling down stairs before the council changes the ridiculous rule to allow the public open use of the oval. The NAFC is a rent paying tenant - not the owner of any of the facilities so why should we pay to improve someone else's property. I can tell you the Cricket Club are equally pissed off withthe Prospect Council. The club has a bucket load of money to put into the interior and exterior facilities at Prospect but until the council come to the party and meet us half way we won't spend a cent at this stage - better spent on investments that give a good short and long term return - eg. buying another Hotel.....
P.S. Fancy a south supporter bagging another club's oval - seen yours lately? The only reason you get the use of the facilities at Noarlunga for a "peppercorn" rent is who else would want to use that god foresaken place. Anymore grandstand substitutes eg the Stratco verandah going in this year - Perhaps a tool shed or two as well to compliment the hardware display!

Well obviously a touchy subject. Perhaps dribble if it was your own oval you could lock it up at night and spend your plethora of cash on it- if you love the place that much buy it off the council- money is obviously no object at North.I'm sure the council would sell it tomorrow for the right price. Then you will have all the maintenance and upkeep to yourselves.Fortunately for you though your club hasnt been flogged by the sanfl for the last 100yrs and you still have what I call an inner city base.
South have had little or no assistance from the council from day 1 . All watering and upkeep is the sole responsibility of the club has been and always will be. The ground itself is fine, I agree 100% that the spectator facilities are inadequate but I have it on good authority that this will be changing shortly. Mind you if the club won a few more games particularly at home the urgency would of course become greater.
