Anyone else entering any of the tournaments coming up at the cas?

I'll be there Monday and Friday, hopefully Saturday & Sunday if i can seat to the last tourney ;)

Interesting to know how many other SA Footy Guru's like to ply the felt

Mickey - love a good game of poker, I play online mostly and have a pretty good strike rate...would love to have a crack at the cas tourneys but dont think Ill have the time for another few months, a few guys I play with at work go there regularly...Ive been to Crown Casino and played a sit n go there, amazing set up there....do you have any more details of the tourneys the cas runs?

Here is a link to the skycity website. has a pdf doc on the Australia Week tourneys. they are running from Mon 22nd till Sun 28th.

Tournament on the 27/28th is a $660 but in event. 1st place pays upto $14,000 and entry to the NZ Poker Champs. buy in for that is about $3500 or so.

sorry cant justify a $660- buy in for a tourney not matter the prize pool...i shat myself with a $55- buy in at the Crown!!!

what option are you taking Mickey?

mond you it is my retirement dream to play in the WSOP in vegas one day, might well be my retirement present one day

I'm playing the free tournament on monday afternoon, then the $45 re-buy event that night.

Afternoon to win the $660 seat, the night tournament is for entry ti the main event wgich i think is in april from memory. (which has a buy in of about 3k)

And have entered the Australia Day Cup. $375 to enter. 1st place upto about 10k.

Lucky for me a good day playing caribbean stud poker last week paid my entry for both[/list]

good work, dont play poek seriously at all, just a bit of fun, but money to be made playing on line, there so many coyboys out there with to much $$$

I was lucky enough to get 3 Q's and 2 9's, to collect the $150 aswell, dealer actually had pair of aces, which made sure he opened ;)

Played at the Casino the other night, first time there. Played other times, just not at the Cas. Was great!

Dealt pocket Aces at one stage.... bet all I could with 2, 5, 10 on the flop.

Some mongrel had pocket 2's and beat me.

amazing how many times AA gets done...played with mates one night and at one stage it was 1-4!!!!
