DT,
I think you will find Lachlan Archibald won the B grade last year.......

Also, Cwella Dwella, bad luck mate, Centrals just a little too good this year :) ....actually only 0.23% better!!!!!

Finals this wkd - Souths v Westies on Sat in PA, Lions v Centrals on Sun in PP. Some big games. Well done to Price and Struck on winning the medal....

Goodridge was the highest vote getter from Port Pirie based B Grade teams last year also.

Port have re-appointed Matt Ganley as Senior Coach for 2011, which scuttles a few rumours that Donny DePalma may return.

What does Goodridge have to do to get an A grade game these days?!

There are rumours about all the coaching positions in Pirie at the moment, anyone have any juicy bits of gossip?

It looks like Ray Hayes will end his stint at Centrals come end of the season...has done a pretty good job over the past three years. 1 Premiership, 1 grand final appearance (lost by a point). He announced his resignation on Saturday and then realised that the team made the finals  :o

Would be interesting to see the field of applicants for the job....

Matt Gale half a chance for any of the Pirie jobs?

Bigsecret was right on the money, Lions are left shattered too early in September yet again, going down by a solitary point to Centrals who just scraped into the finals. Some BIG question marks hang over their ability to stand up in big games for sure! The B grade got a ten goal lesson from Centrals too after finishing top, but they at least have the luxury of the double chance, something the A grade gave up with a poor second half to the year after once sitting top.

Did anyone see the game? Would have been a heart stopping finish!

In the As, it was a very good game from both sides. Centrals led by 8 points with 10 mins to go. The Lions worked their way back and got scores equal with about 3 mins to go. The ball somehow ended up in Centrals forward lines and Harvey hit the goal post, got a behind and with 40 secs to go Centrals win the game. A very good game nevertheless.

There are rumours about all the coaching positions in Pirie at the moment, anyone have any juicy bits of gossip?

LIONS will get rid of duck davies otherwise they run the risk of loosing alot of their top 10 players, which have been linked to crystal brook and broughton/mundoora. ashley dunkley (lions u 18 coach) will take over.
SOLLY i've heard a couple of rumours about good old bobby. serge halmer (sollys major sponsor fom alot of years) and jeff twigden(sollys b grade coach) have both said if bobs their next year they wont be, which in this senario bob will go, and duck davies will go back to coaching solly. i did also hear a very slight rumour in the last few days that he might stay, if he does he will rip the club in half and leave at the end of next year, then the club will spend the next 5 years trying to patch up everything that he stuffed up.

PORT their was a bit of a wisper that donny depalma was waiting in the wings but port have announced that matt ganley will coach in 2011

A strong rumour at the moment is Ashley Dunkley to take the helm at Lions , but there will be complication. Brian (BUTCHY) Smith to coach Solomontown. Boston can kiss his coaching days good-bye.

That particular player could be worth a little bit of money if he ever decides to harden the FUIC up and stop being a whingey little biatch.
