Adelaide public transport

Postby Dogwatcher » Thu Sep 16, 2010 1:14 pm

I'm heading into Adelaide from Craigmore tomorrow.
What's the quickest way to get into the city via public transport at the moment, given the works happening on the railway?

I can:

A) Catch train to Mawson Lakes and then bus in city

or is it easier to:

B) Catch the 228, or whatever the route is called now, from Elizabeth Downs through to Adelaide?

Anyone know?

Either mate, 228 would be the best bet, just be a longer journey. The train fiasco is somewhat annoying, I had to take my lad and his friend to Royal Park yesterday for a dexterity test and I had no idea how to get around the train problem.

I've just sorted out the schedule for both and yep, I reckon you'd have to have pretty good dexterity to manage the train bus fiasco at Mawson Lakes ;)

Might do the 228, takes me most of the way to my first appointment too.

Ha! Honestly mate, I don't mind using public transport when I get the chance. It's just that the Gawler line situation makes it a little more complicated at the moment.
I could've had the car but thought I'd leave it with Mrs WD.
Plus, I can have a few beers in the arvo once the formal side of my meetings are done ;)
Public transport is sooooo much funnier after a few beers.

Stirring mate ;) We have a peanut at work that I bag all of the time because he comes here late and makes up for it by leaving early.
