I cant believe Dogs fans are spending so much energy on this acronym. I'm interested in the game and the build up, and I sure Dogs fans are too, so lets keep talking about that!
I don't know a lot about Roy Laird, but did he play a few games of ressies for the Dogs? How did he "land" in a spot where he was appointed Ressies coach?

Whelp"to give birth to"? "young offspring", not real sure.
We might not be the only ones.![]()
It is part of the build up, it's the "secret weapon" you'll use to confuse our players and supporters. Bit of fun.
I remember Roy as a "solid" back pocket (maybe also half back). Probably in the last few picked each week. Not overly skilled but extremely determined and fairly hard at it. Over his career from 89-97, he played 87 games (5 goals). He would have obviously played many reserves games over this period, as I never remember him getting any major injuries.
I believe he was responsible for changing to one of the past club songs. Might have been "This time". Not sure.
Probably before coaching would have been described as a solid club man. That's how I remember his playing time.
Not sure how he got the ressies job.

I think the SANFL might have forgotten to account for your DST starting which could probably mean all those overseas times are wrong....can anyone confirm or deny my theory please?![]()
