gawler & gdp 26th & 27th jan

Postby bayman » Thu Jan 25, 2007 11:22 pm

gawler, remember it is a leaders track,

r1 3 a good thing from 5,6,7,8 next best 2,9
r2 two winning chances 2,3 (mals horse),with multi hopes to 1,8,10
r3 top three 1(good draw),3,4 with numerous place hopes 1,5,6,9,10
r4 7 on top from 2,3,5,6
r5 7 another good thing trialled very well, from 4,5,8 i'd risk the 6 from that draw
r6 chances in a tough race 1(watch i dont know it),4,5,6,7,8 with 8 on top e/w
r7 only four possible chances 1,4,5,6 i have 1,6 on top from 4,5

suggested bet(s)
allup
r1 no 3 win (rated 1/3)
r5 no 7 win (rated 1/2)

they both will win & good luck on the punt

globe derby sat,

r1 we start off with a good thing on a e/w basis, in the 2 ran 4th in a cup race last sunday & this is a big drop in class while for multis there is plenty of place hopes 1,3,6,7,8,10
r2 chances in an open race 3,5,9,10 next best 2,4
r3 chances 1,2,3,7,8,9 as far as i know the 3 has not trialled so it could be worth risking but is the best horse in the race
r4 best two 5,6 the 5 is flying at the moment but in its last two starts has been checked & galloped then monday galloped of its own accord may be short of confidence early, for multis 2,3,7,8
r5 in an open race 1,2,4,8 next best 7
r6 the leader is an e/w special 3, main dangers 4,5,7,9 & a rough place hope to 1
r7 chances to 1,2,3,4,7 if the 1 is 1.80 like it is in the weekly stay away as it is possible it could end up 3 back on the pegs & no value
r8 chances 2,3,4,6,8 next best 1 i like 8 e/w if it runs up to its last start
r9 an open trott, chances are 1,4,5,7,8 & i'll stick to 5 e/w
r10 this is a good thing but i'm afraid it'll be at a good things price in no 8 (rated 1/7) the only possible horse that could beat it is the 1 & possibly 3 for 3rd

suggested bet(s)
allup
r1 no 2 e/w
r4 no5 place
r6 no 3 e/w
r10 no 8 win
if you are just looking for a profit the last is a moral

good luck on the punt
ps we'll have to see how r1 no5, r4 no5 & r6 no3 go for mal as they're all backing up quickly in the week the first one has no hope but on form the last two do so we'll judge it on those to, ok mal ?

GAWLER TIPS

Postby SCD » Fri Jan 26, 2007 11:49 am

Gawler should be for non tab and these meetings belong at Pirie or Victor - but oh well...

R1 - I also think the 3 should win.. but - will be very careful here, because this is a C0 and if he wins it - then he can't go Mildura / Horsham and win his VicBred bonus.. so I'm going to back 9 a place and leave the 3 alone
R2 - 1 will lead.. but 2 will win - 2 to win from 1,3 and add in 7,8,10 for third
R3 - 1,3,4,6,7 the chances in a very tough race
R4 - 4 and 7 on top from 2,3,5 and maybe 6
R5 - another stable mate trialled well 1st up and went not so good (the 7) - so I'd be looking for value.. take 1,4,6,7 in a tri
R6 - DISGRACEFUL RACE $1,000 non penalty for the worst horses in the state.. leave the 2 out - and go for value with the rest of them
R7 - 1,4,6 on top and 2 and 5 possible place hopes.

Suggested Bets
R1 - 9p
R2 - 2 w
R5 - 1,4,6,7 Boxed Tri

Betfair Specials
R2 - 3 (Mal's horse is a good place bet, but can't win!)

Good Luck

as for betfair

gawler r5 no 6 a lot harder from 6 than last monday when drew 1 & ran 2nd with the good trail
gdp,r3 no 3 not trialled so may need the run
r7 no 1 as i said in preview could get buried back & no value at the 1.80 thats quoted in the weekly

Mal - I said.. good place bet.. it can't draw outside Sugery and beat it, simple as that.. too hard for it (given it had every chance at Pirie last start)

I'm not picking on your pets.. and Zettarl goes ok - but he can't win tonight - so he's going to be a $3 or $4 chance that I can't see winning - there fore can be layed on Betfair. and backed a place with the betfair money and you'll make a bigger profit..

Other things you tip might need :axe: :axe: but not this one..

SCD look at the field its a mob of cows after SURGERY and ZETTARL.
2 winning chances and to want to lay the clear 2nd pick in the race.
I would suggest you back it for a place if you can fluke $1-50 or better
which is a much safer way to bet into this race.
You might win laying it BUT if you lay this horse at $4 in a race like this all the time
you will go broke.

As BAYMAN says tread warily on this one.

I agree they are ordinary past Surgery and Zettarl...
But on his run last week and on the draws - Zettarl can not win the race and if I was a bookie I would be laying it all day long..

i'm not sure zettarl will be on the outside of surgery as i think 1 will hold the lead & then surgery will be in the death which means zettarl will try & pop in behind them

the 1 should hand up but i am pretty sure he wont

Now lets get this straight BAYMAN
1 leads
SURGERY in death
ZETTARL one out one back
If thats the case ZETTARL is an undeniable chance of winning
And it has David Harding in the cart as well.

SCD if they lob like this whats your prediction ?

big IF the 3 getting the 1 out 1 back.. the 8 comes out good and will prob hold the back of Surgery and even if in the 1 out 1 back - still can't beat Surgery.. had a similar run at Pirie and couldn't run down the leader Blue Steel Lombo.. so you can have it... I'll just back it a place..

Look in the AU V EG thread in the cricket room.
I predicted AU would win
And at 1/50 chasing 110 went for a brave prediction, AU to get a bonus point =D> =D> =D>
