A bit harsh. SA showed something today. 7/262 against one of the best attacks in the Moo Moo on their deck. OK, not world beating stuff but if the backs get 300+ then the bowlers will fire up as they have something to bowl at for a change. The run rate might have been slow for most of the day but anyone who has ever spent all day in the field will tell you that the run leakage goes up in the last 30-40 minutes of the day and that is what appears to have happened. There is no way the Vics would have been expecting to still be in the field all day and only take seven wickets against the struggling Redbacks. The challenge now is to produce three more days of competitive cricket.

ADELAIDE HAWK has been pleading all year for BAILEY to be in the side.
I reckon hes a good leg spinner at the moment and may well be a star spinner.
He will need time and patience to develop, something he has not had this season.
His batting will be a bonus he plays straight and fights very hard.
Given the way we are going he MUST play for the rest of the year, our season is shot.
The way BOOF used him this year was bewildering at times.
Yes groom some kids now.
Even if it means batting DIETZ at 6 and including 5 bowlers so BAILEY can play the
rest of the season, its an investment.
And ADCOCK surely he can be squeezed in at some stage.

SA great

SA 8/330
R HARRIS 51*
GILLESPIE 17*

BORGAS + BAILEY + Ryan HARRIS + ELLIOTT
Have all got something in common.
They have all scored ONE half century for SA.

Good to see Ryan take his limited overs form into the pura cup
with a match saving 50.
He is batting with a guy bating at 10 who has an unbeaten double century
at test level.
We now have a chance to kick a vic.

Hail Ryan
SA great

I think someone is willing it to happen- maybe they have a small financial interest in the outcome?

SA 398
VI 2/85
HODGE 33*
HUSSEY 44*[and still the aust selectors snub him in the 30 man WI squad]

WELL

BAILEY 1 OVER 0/5
COSGROVE 4 OVERS 0/10

Seems like ELLIOTT is as incompetent as LEHMANN what is
this inFATuation in bowling COSGROVE.
I would rather see a speciallist bowler[BAILEY] bowling the overs.
and so would AH

NS 2/337 CRIKEYS :!: v TA
