How is your side going to line up this year?

Postby GWW » Sun Jan 28, 2007 9:33 pm

With quite a considerable amount of player movement known for most clubs, its probably possible around now to speculate as to how clubs may line up.

I've picked a team for my side (Port), maybe other forum users could post a side for their own club..

FF Miller, Hargreaves, Waterhouse

HF Slattery, Lecras, Jenner

C Butcher, J Clayton, Biacsi

HB Elstone, Perry, Poulton

FB M Clayton, Achee, Perkins

R Mieklejohn, Despasquale, Murray

INT from Lokan, Jarjoura, Fitzgerald, Batson, Looby

Mate, hes listed on the updated player list on the PAMFC official site as a 2007 player, its also confirmed on TPFP site that hes staying, so unless you know something that the club and its supporters dont, i dont think what you mentioned is going to be a problem.

You have Gray-Power on the wing?

Is Uncle Doug making a come back?
He's still my hero even if he is a little bit crap.

Eagles

Postby Aerie » Tue Jan 30, 2007 12:29 am

I'll have a go at the Eagles line up -

F: Lomas Passador Inkster
HF: Vince Grocke Stewart
C: Jarrad Cicolella Treeby
HB: Schwarze McKenzie Powell
B: P Fiacchi Pedler Hier
R: Lindsay Symmons Cooper
I from: Dabrowski R Fiacchi Colville Fairclough Earl Batsanis etc. etc.

I'd expect Vince, Batsanis and Stewart to play the majority of the season with us. Haven't included any other of our AFL listed players as I don't think we'll see any of them for any length of time. Colville isn't due back until a month or so in to the season if memory serves me correctly.

With the loss of Westbrook, I'd expect to see Inkster spend more time up forward than in the midfield this year. We still look vulnerable if any of Lindsay, Grocke or Passador go down for a long term injury. The strength once again is the midfield. Even without Skipworth, still a heap of quality options to run through there.

Expect to see some of the juniors push up with the likes of Fairclough, Hier and Stewart in the league team. Geddes, Fitzgerald, Petrenko and Hicks should all get some time in the league team this season.

The Central line up in my mind is

J.Westoff D.Schell J.Gowans

C.Gowans L.Cowan L.Westoff

E.Ware M.Slade N.Steinberner

P.Thomas N.Grima R.Cochrane

A.Wilson J.Aufderheide Q.Graham

1st Ruck J.McKenzie I.Callinan C.O'Sullivan

Bench J.Griffen A.Switala A.Hayes

Apoligies to any player i have forgotten, i'm sure everyone will remind me if i have forgotten someone.

I have on purposely left out Yves Sibenaler who won't be playing for the first month due to work overseas, and only included AFL players Griffen and Westoff who i think we will see for most of the year.

From all reports i have heard the Gowans are going to be spending most of the year in the forward line, hoping too add bite to the forwards as well as hoping for an injury free season.

For my mind, the new recruits are crucial to our success this season, if Callinan fires he will be just as good if not better than J Clayton, which in turn will help the Gowans play a different role in side. Also if Nathan Grima stands up at CHB that will free up Quinton Graham to play the swing man role depending on match situation.

Jimmy Ezard is definitely playing for Westies this year.

Signed and has been training regularly.

Also, see the article in the Tiser in the last few days about him.

Fully fit side with no AFL players (rookies excluded):

F: Younie, Weatherley, Ladhams
H/F: Krieg, Alleway, Motlop
C: Bamford, Wintle, Ryswyk
HB: Gatto, Hart, Ivens
B: McIntyre, Schubert, Walker
Ruck: O'Hara, Howard, Allan
I/C (from): White, Sporn, Wakelin, Coulter, D.Ebert, Martin, Millar, Pfeiffer, Cox, Stribling, Wundke.

Geezus, it'll be quite scary for the selection panel if we have some AFL players to fit in that and dont suffer the injuries we did last year!

I wish we had that side on the ground in September, nothing close to it.
(And the side we did have got withing 2 kicks of the premiers)
Hopefully the Doc with AFL credentials that Jars brought in this year might help alleviate that.
And having said that we do seem to have more depth each year with the speed at which we produce quality juniors should injuries strike.

When's a Bays supporter going to put together a side as opposed to just having a go at better clubs than their own? :?

Is Weatherly still with North?
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Yes, was even in the paper today holding up an end of the South Africa flag with Chris Ladhams.
Also got a mate over for 2007 who's supposed to be a good player.

At least our name has been on paper in the last 3 Septembers - what about the bays? I'd worry about your side slipping back rather than progressing this year if I were you?

For what it is worth I'd line it up like this all going well again not including any AFL players other than the 3 rookies:

F: Harris, Weatherley, Walker
H/F: Younie, Alleway, Ladhams
C: Motlop, Wintle, Ryswyk
HB: Sporn, McIntyre (Adel listed rookie), Ivens
B: Hart, Schubert, White
Ruck: O'Hara, Howard, Allan
I/C (from): Wakelin or Down, Gatto, Bamford, Krieg, Coulter, Stribling, Kurzel, D.Ebert, Martin, Millar, Pfeiffer, Cubillo, Grosse (Port listed rookie), Gallman (Adel listed rookie) Wundke. Maybe Cox (who is very doubtful by all accounts) and our project player, the 208 cm ex basketballer/ruckman who's name escapes me.

Still you need lot's of luck with injuries etc all year and especially at the right time of the year - The finals. Remember them mighty tiger79?
